Wow incoming Chelsea arrival Lampard sent huge warning ahead of Stamford Bridge move

Ally McCoist has told incoming Chelsea boss Frank Lampard that he will not be safe from getting the sack from the Blues.

Despite having only one-year at a decent level of management, Lampard is all set for a shock move back to Stamford Bridge as boss of the Blues after Maurizio Sarri left the club.

It is claimed that Lampard has already agreed a big £5.5 million-a-season deal to return to the club, with the Blues only in need of agreeing a compensation package with Derby before a deal is confirmed.

But despite being a legend at Chelsea and despite the fact he is loved by pretty much every Chelsea fan, McCoist has warned the boss he will not be immune from criticism for long if he doesn’t get off to a good start in west London.

“I guarantee you the majority of Chelsea supporters are saying: ‘Let’s take a look at this, we’ve got a transfer ban and Frank can get a few youngsters in the team’.

“That’s marvellous – but once you start not winning games, not winning trophies, not finishing third and qualifying for the Champions League and not winning the Europa league, people are going to change very, very quickly.

“Of course the fans will understand that he’s not going into the job at an ideal time and he’s a relatively young coach to take over one of the biggest and most successful clubs in recent years in the county.

“And no matter what happens, you can’t take away all his goals, titles and cup, that’ll never happen.

“There will be a period where the Chelsea supporters will give Frank an extra bit of time and leeway, but if things don’t go Chelsea and Frank’s way, the inevitable will happen.

“Chelsea are one of the clubs in the county that generally don’t have coaches for a long period of time.

“It might be different with Frank and I hope it is different with Frank… but like every other coach, he will be judged on results.”

Lampard will have to deal with all sorts of pressure when he heads back to Chelsea and if he is expecting an easy ride in his first few months, then he will not get it as Abramovic will sack him if results do go the right way.
