Chelsea boost as £50 million striker Werner told ‘dont sign for Liverpool’

Former Premier League goalkeeper Shaka Hislop has told long-term Chelsea target Timo Werner to NOT sign for Liverpool.

Regarded as one of the finest talents in world football right now, Werner has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool and Chelsea this transfer window, despite the fact that Chelsea cannot sign any new players.

That left the door open for Jurgen Klopp to swoop in and offer the talented German striker a move to Anfield, as he reportedly wants more competition for his star attack force.

But Hislop does agree he would be a wise signing for the Reds, telling the ESPN website: “This makes sense from a Liverpool perspective,”

“But if I’m Timo Werner, last year of my contract or not, I think I’m starting somewhere.

“And I don’t see Timo Werner getting into Liverpool’s front three anytime soon.

“So from the club’s perspective, yes, but from the player’s perspective, it doesn’t make an awful lot of sense.

“Given how sturdy and steady that front three has been, I don’t see him pulling up any trees there.”
Werner is fresh hungry young striker that has the ability to become one of the best in the game, and under the guidance of Klopp he could develop very nicely in the coming months.

Chelsea may not be able to acquire any players this transfer window, but they have shown a keen interest in trying to get the young man signed up and if he stays put this transfer window, they will surely try and make a move next summer.

Werner deserves to be at a big club, so it will be very interesting to see just where he ends up in the coming weeks as he will surely end up at a big club, especially after he pretty much told his current club that he wanted to leave during this transfer window and test himself at the very highest level of the game.
