Chelsea ‘looking to the future’ with signing of real powerhouse to replace Brazilian star
It has been claimed that CHELSEA have lined-up a potential replacement for Thiago Silva
Everybody doubted that Thiago Silva would be able to compete at the level he has over the past 15 years because of his age – and many believed he could not handle the Premier League.
However – that has not been the case and he has been one of the best central defenders in the Premier League – and a real leader for the Blues ever since he arrived at the club.
But there is a massive feeling that this will be his last season at the London club and he will seek a move back to his homeland, where he has dreams of playing until he officially hangs up his boots.
WHAT IS THE LATEST –
Looking to the future, the London club is already thinking about replacing him. And, according to today’s edition of The Sun, one of the hottest names among those identified by the Blues is Jean-Clair Todibo.
The 23-year-old former Barcelona player and now a pillar at the back of Farioli’s Nice who has a respectable defensive record in Ligue 1. In the summer, and is rated as one of the finest talents in the game.

As great as Thiago Silva is and as world class as he has been in that Blues shirt, the man is literally in the final few years of playing and will hang up his boots if the move he desires does not materialize.
The future looks bright for CHELSEA, but the youngsters still have alot of months left to learn from one of the best central defenders the game has ever seen, and a man that is a real leader.
Todibo is a talent and definitely has all the physical attributes to cut it in the Premier League.
