Pochettino told to give £350k-a-week powerhouse shot at being Chelsea superstar when he arrives in summer

Lukaku to leave Chelsea?

Florent Malouda believes incoming CHELSEA boss Mauricio Pochettino should offer an olive branch to Romelu Lukaku.

Lukaku was a massive flop for Chelsea last season and the Blues decided to send him back to Italian football with Inter Milan – despite the fact they didnt have an adequate replacement.

But Lukaku has no desire to make a return to Chelsea during the summer window and instead would like to stay with the Italian giants – who in return – are open to keeping him again for another season.

However – with the fact that Pochettino will need to add a new striker to that attack – Malouda has opened up and claimed that the former Tottenham boss should offer an olive branch to Lukaku

He added: ‘There are many issues to be fixed, but I would not mind Romelu returning to Chelsea because I believe that he can, and he will, have something to prove.

‘However, he can’t do it in the conditions that he previously left under – this is the reality.

‘He has to improve his relationship with the fans for sure, because of the interview he gave two years ago when he was there.

‘I read comments saying Pochettino wouldn’t mind working with Lukaku, and this should give Romelu confidence.

‘He is still a top player and he has proved that during his time in Italy. He has faced a lot of adversity and he still has some wrongs to correct.

‘Chelsea need good players and are not playing in the Champions League, so they need players who want to be here.

‘There are too many players who are looking elsewhere because they don’t feel like they are part of the project.’

Lukaku is done in the Premier League and that is why CHELSEA should allow him to leave.

We do not agree with Malouda
