Chelsea ‘have made late offer’ to sign much-talked about £50 million valued star

CHELSEA have made a late “approach” in an attempt to sign Liverpool target Romeo Lavia. according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

It is no secret that LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp is not done with his transfer business for the summer and is very much interested in a deal for the talented Lavia.

Fabinho is a man that Klopp will need to replace after his decision to make the move to Saudi Arabia  – and Lavia is a midfielder that Klopp reportedly feels is ready to come to the club and help fill the void of the Brazilian star.

It has been claimed in recent days that Liverpool have made their first official move to get Lavia signed up and offered a fee around the £37 million mark – which has been rejected by the Saints.

Lavia started against Bournemouth but was taken off at half-time, as according to journalists in attendance at St Mary’s, the teenager looked ‘uninterested’ and was ‘coasting’ through the game.

Now it seems that Chelsea have made their moves to try and get a deal done for Lavia.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID – 

Taking to Twitter, Tavolieri said that Liverpool are currently in pole position for Lavia but revealed that Chelsea have made a last-ditch swoop in an attempt to hijack the move.

“#LiverpoolFC now try closing in on £45M deal for Romeo Lavia. The aim is to get the player at Singapore with the squad. As called by @FabrizioRomano, Reds are in a hurry as #ChelseaFC tried an ultimate approach in these ultimate hours thanks to Joe Shields pressing.”

IS LAVIA WORTH THE MONEY – 

So much has been said regarding the talented lad and this move is one that both CHELSEA and Liverpool believe he is ready for.

We are sure that he will make the move to Anfield – but they need to hurry up as Chelsea will offer crazy money to get a deal done if it takes too much longer.
