Move over Man United! Sarri looking to seal £35 million Chelsea deal for Porto star Militao

Reports have claimed Chelsea have entered the race with Manchester United to sign Porto centre-back Eder Militao.
With United boss Jose Mourinho desperate to splash the cash and bring in a few top-level defenders in the January window, reports earlier this week claim Mourinho has shortlisted Militao as a cheaper alternative to Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly.
It has been claimed United have made a whopping £94 million move to try and secure a deal for the 27-year old Napoli star, but have already been knocked back by the Italians as they want over £100 million for the in-demand star.
But A Bola report that United are set to face competition from Chelsea for the signature of Militao, as Maurizio Sarri is also seeking to revamp the squad and bolster his back-line in the coming transfer windows.
The report also claims that Sarri has been impressed with Militao’s performances for the Portuguese champions and is ready to meet the £35 million valuation that has been placed on the head of the defender.
Sarri will reportedly have close to £200 million to spend in the January transfer window, as the Blues are edging closer to a transfer ban for their deals for younger players, and are keen to get serious business done befoee they are unable too.
Is Militao the answer for Chelsea?
Chelsea are in need of signing some world class players to improve that back-line and mount a serious challenge for the premier League title, and although Militao has been impressive this season for Porto, he is not the answer.
Any player is able to look good over in the Portuguese League and that is also the case here, Militao does not posses the quality and ability to be a success at either United or Chelsea.
