Chelsea inform Spaniards they will pay asking price – after agreeing terms for star
CHELSEA have told Villareal they will pay the release clause of Nicolas Jackson – after agreeing personal terms with the striker
Mauricio Pochettino knows that he has a club that needs to sign a striker this transfer window – somebody who will be able to bang in the goals on a regular basis.
Add that to the rumours that Kai Havertz – who led the attack last season – could be leaving the club with the likes of Arsenal, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich all interested in a potential deal – Pochettino needs a striker.
The 21-year-old was close to joining Bournemouth in January, but a hamstring injury scuppered the move, and not it seems that a move to Stamford Bridge is on the cards according to reports
Fabrizio Romano reports the London giants will pay the money in instalments across the player’s contract.
The striker was wanted by several other Premier League and European clubs, but he only wanted to sign for Chelsea.
It looks like Mauricio Pochettino has his first signing.

Maybe it is just a rumour and maybe nothing will come of it – but one thing is for certain – he would not be the striker that Blues fans are hoping to see arrive over the next few months
