Chelsea move for defender backed, Chelsea to make record-breaking offer, Defender announces delight after sealing Chelsea transfer deal
Livramento completes transfer deal, Chelsea backed to complete Kounde deal and Chelsea to make fresh Lukaku move move in top Chelsea news…
Frank Leboeuf has backed Chelsea’s proposed move for Jules Kounde, with the club reportedly close to a transfer deal
Kounde has racked up 89 appearances across all competitions for Sevilla over the past two years, earning a Europe League winners’ medal and a place in the France national team in the process
His performances for the Spanish side over the past few seasons has led to alot of speculation in the media that Chelsea see him as an ideal player to come in and improve that back line.
Recent reports have claimed that personal terms have been agreed and Kounde is keen on a move to the Bridge, but the only thing that is holding up an announcement is the asking price, as Chelsea do not want to pay £68 million for the player
Now, amid the rumours, Leboeuf has come out and claimed the 22-year-old would be a valuable addition to Thomas Tuchel’s ranks at Stamford Bridge, but has also suggested that he won’t just walk straight into the Blues’ starting XI if he joins the club this summer.
“He’s (Kounde) a fantastic player,” the former Chelsea centre-back has told ESPN. “He has everything. He is a warrior. He never gives up. He has everything. He is the future for sure.
“Maybe it’s an opportunity for Chelsea to get him maybe not this season, but next season.
“I don’t know what Kounde wants to do in his life, if he’s ready to be on the bench more than he thinks he will be. It’s up to him. It would be a good signing for Chelsea.”
We are massive fans of Kounde and if he does make that move to the Bridge he would be a very good addition to that already very good squad that Tuchel currently has at the club
Chelsea are all set to make a fresh offer for Romelu Lukaku after their latest offer got rejected.
The 28-year-old played a key role in Inter’s Serie A win last season, scoring 24 goals. Inter need to reduce their wage bill this summer and title-winning boss Antonio Conte left the club in May amid concerns about plans to cut his budget.
That has led to many reports in the media which have suggested that Inter are open to the idea of letting Lukaku leave the club this transfer window, should his asking price be met by the likes of Chelsea.
Chelsea were hopeful that they could capitalise on Inter’s financial difficulties by making a big offer for Lukaku, although the Nerazzurri have thus far proved resistant, but icfootballnews has learnt that the Blues are all set to make another offer for the striker
Thomas Tuchel is keen to add a world-class forward to his attack as the Blues look to challenge for the Premier League title in the 2021-22 campaign and it is believed that Chelsea will offer around £90 million to get a deal done, plus Marcos Alonso.
However, Lukaku is very happy and settled at Inter and ready to give his all next season.
After finishing in UEFA’s official team of Euro 2020, he went on holiday to the Caribbean and the USA, where he stuck rigidly to his personal training programme. He is back training with Inter now and is fully focused on the new season
This is a rumour that has been going on for some time now and Chelsea need to make the decision whether to carry on to try and get a deal done, or move on and try to land another striker
They want to regain that Premier League title, but will need to add a striker like Lukaku to that attack
Southampton have confirmed the signing of highly-rated 18-year-old Tino Livramento from Chelsea on a five-year contract.
The sought after defender was a player that Chelsea had big hopes for in the coming seasons and there was murmerings in the media that he could be sent out on loan this summer to get the first team experience that he needed to get into that Chelsea first team squad.
However, he was never going to get the first-team football he needs at Chelsea because of their need for instant success and there were plenty of teams looking to sign him in this summer transfer window on a more permanent basis
The likes of Brighton, Arsenal, Manchester City, RB Leipzig, AC Milan and Monaco were showing interest and, for that reason, but it was the Saints who managed to wrap up a transfer deal for the young man
The deal reportedly sees Saints hand over £5m to the Blues, with a sell-on clause and a big buy-back option inserted ahead of his time on the South Coast
Speaking to southampton fc.com about his first conversation with Ralph Hasenhuttl, he said:
“He wanted to tell me a lot. He wanted to tell me a lot about how he wanted me to train, how he wanted me to play and what he wanted me to bring to the team. I feel like that was really attractive for me to see him expressing those emotions and showing how he sees me playing in a Premier League team. That’s a big thing for me being 18 and it was a really good conversation.”
This is another young player that Chelsea were hoping not to lose this transfer window, but it is a massive decision from the lad to make and one that will hopefully give him the footballing career that he wants
