No Problem here! World Cup winner Fekir has big message for Chasing Chelsea boss Lampard

Nabil Fekir has told the likes of Chelsea that there is noting wrong with his proposed dodgy knee.

After another impressive goal-scoring season with Lyon last season, there was a lot of transfer speculation in the media all suggesting that the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea were interested in a transfer deal for the Frenchman.

However, Chelsea could not make a move as the transfer ban was in place, but there is widespread speculation in the media that they could go back in during the January window if they are able to get this ban shortened.

There has also been talk that the French International had not gotten a big transfer move just yet as there is concern about a long-standing knee injury, which scuppered his move to the Premier League just a few seasons ago.

The France international was on the verge of moving to Anfield from Lyon last summer but the deal broke down at the 11th hour, with reports claiming the 26-year-old had failed a medical with a knee injury, but Fekir, who plays for Real betis, insists his knee was not the problem and has addressed rumours that his family played a part in the moves collapse.

“What was said is not the truth,” he told L’Equipe. “My knee is good – I had a quick medical check at Clairefontaine – my knee wasn’t even mentioned.

“But the worst thing is the idea that people could suggest that it’s because of my family that the transfer didn’t happen. It’s a lie. But you have to live with it.”

Fekir has made the move to Betis and is having a decent season with the Spanish side, but he has always admitted that a move to the Premier League is high up on his agenda, amnd although Chelsea may not be able to make a move in January, there could be a case that a move could be made at the end of the season.

Betis is a stepping stone for Fekir, with no disrespect to the Spaniards, but when a big club comes in Fekir will move.
