Big news from Italy as Chelsea in transfer talks over deal for £72M star
Napoli are in talks with Chelsea to sign Kepa Arrizabalaga, according to reports in Italy.
Chelsea shelled out a staggering £72million to sign Kepa from Athletic Bilbao in 2018 as they believed that he had the potential to go on and become the best stopper in world football.
But despite being given a number of chances at the club, Kepa has fallen behind the impressive Edouard Mendy between the sticks at Stamford Bridge and is now just a back-up to the AFCON winner
According to IcFootballnews, the west Londoners are prepared to listen to offers in the region of £50m for Kepa, as the board feel that he is no longer part of the long-term plans at the club
Ans As relayed by Football Italia, Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti wants to sign the Blues stopper to replace David Ospina after his departure earlier this summer.
The two clubs have a positive relationship following the transfers of Jorginho and Kalidou Koulibaly, yet Arrizabalaga’s wages are believed to be a concern.
Kepa has made over 120 appearances during his time at ChelseaFC and has managed to keep an impressive 46 clean sheets, despite his struggles, so he is still a stopper that has alot of quality.

Kepa is a brilliantly gifted young stopper that has many more years at the top of the game, and there has been alot of interest in his services
He will not want to sit on the bench next season, so the fact that he could be joining a massive club like Napoli would give him the chance to reignite his career in the game
And we would be surprised to see him still at the club by the end of the transfer window – it would be a big mistake to stay guys
