Chelsea should sign £100m winger, Giroud sends Lampard message, Chelsea to wrap up defender deal, and world class striker perfect for Lampard

Here is a roundup of the latest Chelsea news from icfootballnews

Chelsea should make a move to try and sign Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho next summer, with reports the Germans may consider selling the winger.

Now we all know that Chelsea were unable to go out and splash the cash on some big named players as they were banned from acquiring any players for at least two transfer windows, and although they did appeal the ban, they only managed to tie down a permanent deal for Mateo Kovacic and bring in Christian Pulisic.

News boss Frank Lampard has a massive job on his hands trying to get the best out of the experienced players, while also giving the younger generation more of a chance at Stamford Bridge, as he could not improve the squad.

But with the sales of a number of first-team players, the Blues made a massive £130 million in sales this summer and that is to be reinvested into the club next summer, as Lampard will reportedly get around £200 million to spend on new players.

And we have suggested that the Chelsea boss goes out and buys a number of top-class signings, and Sancho should be high up on the shopping list.

The 19-year-old England international, who left Manchester City to join the Bundesliga outfit in 2017, emerged as a top summer target for Chelsea, but Dortmund refused to sell and Chelsea were unable to make a firm offer as they were suspended from doing any deals.

And Sancho has admitted that a return to the country of his birth is certainly not out of the question – at some point.

‘I can’t tell the future but I wouldn’t mind. La Liga I wouldn’t mind also, but we don’t know yet,’ Sancho said on the Metro website.

‘I am just happy that I’m playing and that’s the main thing. I’m just helping my team and learning every day when I’m on the pitch. He added:

‘I feel that every league is very competitive. The Premier League is one of the best leagues in the world, everyone knows that.’

Chelsea are all set to sign up the possible long-term replacement for Marcos Alonso?

Former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has told Frank Lampard he is ready to fight for his place at Stamford Bridge.

Lampard arrived in the summer transfer window with a big decision to make, and that is who would lead his attack over the next few years, with his options the experienced and proven Giroud, or the exciting Tammy ABraham.Tammy ABraham.Tammy ABraham.

Abraham had a breakthrough season in the Championship lasts season and netted an impressive 26-goals as he helped Aston Villa get back to the Premier League, and many have called for Lampard to give him a real shot at leading this attack.

And so far Lampard has made his choice clear, as the French striker has started just one of Chelsea’s four Premier League matches so far this season, with Frank Lampard instead putting his faith in 21-year-old Abraham.

And the youngster has not let his new manager down, scoring four goals already to emerge as Chelsea’s first-choice forward.

But Giroud has told Lampard that he will not stand by and just accept his role in the side, and will look to challenge Abraham for that starting spot at Stamford Bridge.

Giroud told Le Figaro: ‘Obviously not. I have goals in my head. ‘I’m here to help the next generation, but the time for retirement has not come.

‘I’m still hungry and have a lot of ambition. I don’t want to be Chelsea’s No.2 striker, for sure.

Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster has playfuly told Callum Hudson-Odoi to leave Chelsea and join him at Liverpool.

Regarded as one of the finest talents in the game and the man that will eventually replace Eden Hazard in this Chelsea side, there has been a lot of transfer speculation over the past few months about the long-term future of Hudson-Odoi.

Germans Champions Bayern Munich have shown a real desire to try and tempt him away from the Premier League and onto the Bundesliga, with reports they made a trio of offers during the summer transfer window to try and get a deal done, which have all been rejected by Chelsea.

And that has now lead to reports in the media suggesting that Chelsea will seek to hand Odoi a double-your-money deal to keep him at the club, with reports claiming that a £200,000-a-week deal is very close to being signed.

The teenage forward made 24 first-team appearances for the Blues before his season was cut short due to a serious ankle injury, but Hudson-Odoi is closing in on a return and posted a video of himself performing some tricks in Chelsea’s 2019-20 kit last week.

Blues loanee Trevoh Chalobah replied to the tweet with: ‘Sign it.’, which was swiftly followed by Brewster, who has played with Hudson-Odoi regularly with England’s under-age groups, who responded: ‘At Liverpool.’

It is no secret that Liverpool were slightly interested in the summer window but never firmed up their interested as Jurgen Klopp is very happy with the superstar attack that he already has.
