(Video) £70m Willian replacement opens door to deal, Chelsea told £150m could leave, Hudson-Odoi Hazard claim made, Agent claims Italian’s desire to make move home
Here is a roundup of the latest Chelsea news from icfootballnews.com
Rob Green is expecting big things from Callum Hudson-Odoi and believes he can emulate Chelsea great Eden Hazard.
Regarded as one of the finest talents in the game right now, Hudson-Odoi had his breakthrough season at Chelsea last season under the guidance of Maurizio Sarri and quickly became a fans favourite with his skill, pace and ability to create goals for his team-mates.
The 18-year-old missed Chelsea’s Premier League run-in, the victorious Europa League final and the Nations League with England as a result of his injury, but he has made an impressive return and is set to become a big part of Frank Lampard’s side.
And Green has now tipped the winger to go on and match what Eden Hazard did in west London, establishing himself as one of the Blues’ best ever players across seven seasons before leaving for Real Madrid in the summer.
Green told BBC Sport when asked if Hudson-Odoi can match Hazard’s legacy at Chelsea: “He’s got the potential, he’s got to work on his power, once he’s got the ball he needs to stay on the ball, just the strength around his pace.
“I think when he grows up and matures, that’s when you’ll see it. He’s got such a long time in the game now, he’s not the same player as Eden Hazard, but there’s no reason when he cannot do what Hazard did at Chelsea in the last seven or eight years.”
“We had Willian, Pedro and obviously Eden [Hazard] in the same positions but the manager had such a strong belief about playing the players he trusted. He would not play other players.
“It was the same team, the same formation every week, maybe one or two changes and Callum just wouldn’t get a look-in. he’d go into training and he’d tear it up day in, day out and the things he would try in training with no pressure… and he’d do it in games.
“You’d just see him trying stuff because he just wanted to. It’s not that players like this don’t care. It’s just that they can play with the freedom and understanding that they can try these things and are good enough to pull them off.
“He would try it in training against some of the best players in the world, some of the best defenders. Azpilicueta playing up against him in training… couldn’t live with him!
“He’d chop inside him and Azpi would turn around and go, ‘Oh God, he’s gone past me’, and then he’d just bend one in the far top corner or fire one in at the near post.”
Former Tottenham man Alan Hutton has claimed Chelsea target Harry Kane could look to leave the club at the end of the season.
Regarded as one of the best strikers in the game right now, Kane has been in the transfer headlines for the past few weeks as many believe that this could be his last season at Tottenham if they once again fail to pick up some silverware.
Spurs are one of the most promising and exciting sides to watch in the English game, but despite all their talent and all their quality, they have been unable to pick up any trophies under the guidance of Maurizio Pochettino, meaning that a number of clubs, including Chelsea, are circling for a potential deal.
And Hutton believes that a few of the Spurs players’ heads will be turned, should the disappointing results continue, he told the Football Insider: “I think a lot of the boys’ heads have been turned.
“They got to the Champions League final which was great, expectations were big for this season, a lot of stuff’s going on behind the scenes. I know there’s a lot of talk about Harry Kane and moving on and wanting to win things.
“I do think as a player you do want to win things. It’s going to be a massive talking point in the next six months or so depending on how things end up at Tottenham.
“As a player, you obviously always want to win. These questions are going to crop up more and more depending on how results go over the next few weeks.”
Chelsea have been alerted to the prospect that a deal for Kai Havertz could be on the table.
Now we all know that there is a lot of transfer speculation in the media suggesting that Willian could be leaving the club at the end of the season as there is no new contract being put on the table by Chelsea, which seems crazy considering just how good he is.
But there is a feeling that Frank Lampard will continue to add some of the most and exciting talents in the game to his squad, with high up on the shopping list after impressing a number of top clubs with his performances over the past few seasons.

The agent of Jorginho has told Chelsea that the midfielder ‘always has a desire to return home’ to Italy.
After moving to Chelsea last summer, Jorginho managed to play 54 games for Chelsea last season in all competitions and became an integral part of plans under Sarri.
However, after the Italian left the club and made the move to Juventus, there had been speculation in the media which suggested he could follow Sarri back to Seria A, with the Italian reportedly interested in a deal.
But after deciding to stay at the club and prove himself to the Chelsea fans, the Italy international has impressed in the early goings of the new Premier League season and he has been an integral part of Frank Lampard’s side.
Jorginho’s representative, Joao Santos, claims the Italy international has improved under the tutelage of both Sarri and Lampard and believes the move to west London came at a perfect time for his client
‘It has certainly been a positive year for Jorginho,’ he told Radio Sportiva. He is doing well for the Nazionale and can take part in the Euros. He always converts his penalties, I am very happy for him, as he is working so hard every day.
‘Naturally, it was not positive when Giampiero Ventura was the Italy coach, but he has slowly become first choice in that midfield. It certainly helps that he plays for Chelsea, because it’s a very intense style of football in England and he learned a lot from both Maurizio Sarri and Frank Lampard.’
‘I think Jorginho can do very well at the Euros and, why not, also at the next World Cup,’ he continued. ‘As for a return to Serie A, anything is possible.
‘He will always feel the desire to come back home.’
