26-goal hitman to lead attack, Lampard holds talks with £100m man, Chelsea get sent Neymar message, Blues need to sign this £60m star
Here is a roundup of the latest Chelsea news from icfootballnews.
Reports have now claimed Ngolo Kante met with Frank Lampard this week for face-to-face talks about his role at Chelsea in. the coming seasons.
Kante is regarded as the best holding midfielder in the game right now and has been one of the most influential players at Stamford Bridge since his move to the club from Leicester.
But the Frenchman has not looked like the same player over the past 12 month, partly down to the fact he has been playing in a more attacking role, and that has led to speculation in the media that he could depart the club.
Barcelona and PSG have been chasing the world cup winner for some time now, with reports suggesting that they are both prepared to pay around £100 million to get a transfer deal done.
United have also been linked with a shock transfer move as they reportedly eye up a replacement for Paul Pogba, who has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons over the past few months after suggesting he is ready to leave United.
But Lampard has no intention of letting the midfielder leave and reports on the Daily Express website have claimed that he has held face-to-face talks with the little Frenchman about his role in the side.
Long-term Chelsea target Neymar has been told that he is free to leave the club this transfer window, by PSG Sporting Director Leonardo.
Neymar is regarded as one of the finest talents in the game and has become a real superstar since his move from Barcelona to PSG, where he has struck up quite a partnership with Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbapppe.
However, there has been some speculation in the media which have suggested that PSG are open to the idea of selling Neymar over the next few months, if clubs meet the £200 million asking price.
And the Blues have been linked with a big-money move for the wantaway PSG star, despite the many reports in the media suggesting that he could be heading back to Barcelona this summer, and despite the fact that they are in the middle of a transfer ban.
And a according to the Ligue 1 champions’ sporting director Leonardo, Neymar is now free to leave the cub.
Leonardo told Le Parisien on Monday: “It’s clear to everyone [he wants to leave]. But in football, you say one thing today and tomorrow another… It’s amazing but it’s like that.
“The position is clear for all. But one thing is concrete today: he still has three years of contract with us. And since we have not received an offer, we can not discuss anything.
“We have not received any offers. But we had, it’s true, very superficial contacts [from Barcelona]. They said they wanted to buy but we were not sellers.
“Neymar can leave PSG if there is an offer that suits everyone. But to date, we do not know if anyone wants to buy it or at what price.”
There has been so much speculation about many Chelsea players leaving the club this summer, but one name that cant leave is Callum Hudson-Odoi, the brilliantly gifted winger.

Reports have claimed Tammy Abraham will be Frank Lampard’s first-choice striker this season, ahead of Olivier Giroud at Chelsea,
The 21-year-old scored 26 goals in the Championship this season, helping Villa reach the play-off final, where they clinched promotion against Derby at Wembley.
His performances over the course of the season has led to speculation that Lampard is ready to give him his chance at Stamford Bridge, especially as Chelsea are unable to sign any new players over the course of the next few transfer windows.
Chelsea had 41 players out on loan last season – including Abraham’s Under-21 team-mates Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori at Derby, and and after selling Eden Hazard to Real Madrid for £89million this month Abraham wants to finally make an impact at Stamford Bridge with the Blues unable to sign a replacement.
And according to the Daily Star, Abraham will lead the line in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Mason Mount playing as the number 10 ahead of the aging Olivier Giroud.
