Chelsea news: Defender Reaches agreement – Striker addresses rumours he could join Blues – Chelsea free to sign £60M man
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –
It has been claimed that Arsenal will allow Chelsea target Aaron Ramsdale to leave the club at the end of the current season.
Last year Ramsdale was one of the best stoppers in the Premier League and a man that played pretty much every week because of his impressive performances in that Arsenal side.
However – Arteta make the shock decision in the summer to bring David Raya to the club on a loan basis after Brentford decided that they no longer wanted the Spanish star at the club.
Arteta publicly stated that both goalkeepers would have an opportunity to compete for the number one spot, effectively having two primary choices, but it seems that Raya is the man that will take the number one spot for the next few seasons.
Reports on the sun have now claimed that Arsenal will allow Ramsdale to leave the club at the end of the season, but only if their £60 million valuation in met by the likes of CHELSEA, West Ham and Newcastle United.
Andy Cole recently hit out at Mikel Arteta for his treatment of Arsenal star Aaron Ramsdale this season.
The former striker said, as quoted by DAZN:
“I think he’s been hard done by, I really do. He was so good for Arsenal last season and then all of a sudden, Mikel Arteta has gone out and got a new goalkeeper and initially claimed that he had two number ones, which was complete nonsense from day one.
“The way he’s disregarded Ramsdale has been really disrespectful. He’s mugged him off basically.”

Ramsdale needs to leave Arsenal – CHELSEA need a stopper like him – it could be a very good move for the man to move across London to join the Blues
THIAGO SILVA AGREEMENT REACHED –
Chelsea star Thiago Silva is all set to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer as he reached a verbal agreement with Fluminense.
He is out of contract at the end of the season and although some fans are keen for Silva to stay – particularly given the lack of leadership and experience in the squad – it seems that the Brazilian is dead set on departing the club.
It has been mentioned in previous weeks that a move back to his Homeland of Brazil is the preferred destination for the big man – and with just a few months left of the season – CHELSEA FC have not started any sorts of talks with the South American
Now the 39-year-old has decided to quit Chelsea as he is on the verge of joining Brazilian giants Fluminense on a free transfer at the end of the 2023/24 season, GOAL can confirm.
The veteran defender has already reached a verbal agreement with Fluminense and will officially sign for them once his contract with the Blues expires on June 30.
Amid all the speculation – former Blues star Frank Leboeuf feels that it is the right time for the Brazilian to leave the club: ‘I think the Chelsea defenders have done enough, especially against Manchester City, to prove that they can cope without Thiago Silva,’ Leboeuf told BetVictor.
‘The defence was so strong against City’s forwards who are amazing.
‘Thiago Silva has been a fantastic player for Chelsea and I don’t want to deny that, but there is a time for everything to come to an end.
‘The young defenders at the club have proven that they are ready to play and I’m not even sure they would’ve been better off with him in the team against Liverpool
‘I’m not sure it will be a good thing if he stays next season.
‘It is time for him to leave and time for us all to say thank you to him.
‘I had my time, Marcel Desailly had his time and so did John Terry, there is an end for everyone.’
VLAHOVIC MESSAGE NOW SENT –
Dusan Vlahovic has addressed the transfer rumours linking him with a move to the likes of Chelsea in the summer window.
There is a feeling that CHELSEA are missing that 25-goal a season forward to get back in the hunt for that Premier League title and playing Champions League football on a yearly basis.

That has led to constant rumours in the media linking the Blues with a move for Vlahovic – who only moved to Juventus two summers ago – but has constantly been linked with a move away as he struggled to score the goals they wanted him too.
Vlahovic himself responded to questions about Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain in an interview with French newspaper L’Equipe, as quoted and translated by Fabrizio Romano on his official account on X.
He Tweeted: ‘ Dusan Vlahović: “I’m under contract at Juventus for two more years, I am very happy here. I want to win some important trophies at Juventus”
“PSG or Chelsea? I heard the rumours but I was not even interested in those stories”, told L’Équipé

Vlahovic is a very good forward that would score goals in that Blues side – but there are many CHELSEA fans out there that would prefer the board make a move for Brentford striker Ivan Toney – he is seemingly the forward that fans believe could help bring titles and Champions League football back to the club
The Blues will be linked with so many players over the next few months – but one thing is for certain – they need to make sure that they sign players that will help drive the club forward right away or it could be another poor season for the club next campaign
