Brazilian Elber opens door for Chelsea to seal monster Neymar deal after sending this Barcelona message
Former Brazil striker Giovane Elber believes Barcelona should not consider bringing Chelsea target Neymar back to the club after the way he left previously.
Neymar is easily regarded as one of the top five players on the planet right now, and if it was not for the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, would have picked up the Ballon D’or on a number of occasions.
He was linked to a whole host of clubs while at Santos in his home-country, but despite all the speculation linking him to Chelsea, Neymar moged to Barcelona and would go on to form part of one of the most feared attacks in world football alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez before leaving to join Paris Saint-Germain in a stunning €222million transfer.
However, there has been reports in the media that both Chelsea and Barcelona are ready to make big money moves if the Brazilian becomes available in the summer window, with the Spanish giants leading the chase.
It is believed that Neymar fancies a move back to Barcelona, but Chelsea have been boosted by Elber, who has claimed that Barcelona should not consider trying to sign Neymar.
Speaking to Cadena SER, the former Bayern Munich forward said: “After the way he left Barcelona, for me there is no possibility of him returning.
“Neymar behaved very badly with Barca, because when he left Barcelona, he said he wanted to be the best in the world. But, you don’t become the best in the world playing at PSG.
“You have to go to Real Madrid or Barcelona, to a team which can win the Champions League. I still don’t think PSG can win the Champions League in the next three or four years.”
Although PSG are one of the richest clubs in the game right now, Neymar moving there was a mistake and he needs to come over to the Premier League to even be considered to be the best player in the world.
Barcelona will always be favourites to nail down the Brazilian, but how exciting would it be to see Neymar in the Premier League in a Chelsea shirt on a weekly basis?
