Two superstar deals? Boss Tuchel tells Chelsea £400m rated duo Neymar and Mbappe could leave this summer!
PSG coach Tomas Tuchel has told the likes of Chelsea that star duo Kylian Mbappe and Neymar could depart the club.
Mbappe said he had “come to a turning point in my career” after picking up the Ligue 1 Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards recently, hinting that he is ready to test himself in one of the bigger Leagues.
That has led to speculation in the media which have suggested that Chelsea could try and make a move, if their transfer ban gets overturned, as they are keen to replace the Real Madrid bound Eden Hazard.
It is believed the Blues are massive admirers of the French winger and firmly believe that he could score the goals and add that excitement to the side that Hazard normally brings to the club.
His PSG team-mate has also been linked with a move to the Premier League over the past few seasons, and although he has shown no desire to leave PSG just yet, there has been some talk that the right offer would tempt the French Champions into selling.
And although Tuchel has admitted that he does not want to lose both players, he has admitted that he is not naïve and the duo could lose his star duo.
“As a coach, I do want them to continue, but this is football, we are not naive,” said PSG boss Tuchel on the Sky Sports website.
“Many clubs want to transfer many players. But if you ask me, the manager, yes, I want them here next season. But if not, we will find solutions.
“I was a bit hesitant after what Mbappe said. He has ideas, he is very intelligent, but he is encouraged, like all PSG players, to assume responsibility.”
There are not too many clubs in the game right now that could afford to pay the transfer fees of both Mbappe and Neymar and then offer them the kind of wages they seek, but Chelsea are financially one of those clubs.
So if the transfer ban does get overturned at some point this window, then landing one of the two would be a great bit of business by Chelsea.
