Alan Hutton has insisted Chelsea are “not done” with new signings this January transfer window

The Blues have been crazy busy this transfer window and sign a whole bunch of players to inject some freshness in the squad – and get the fans excited in the process.

Mykhalio Mudryk is the biggest signing from Chelsea after the club forked out a whopping £88 million for the man – But the transfer window is still open and there is plenty of time – and plenty of players – still being linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.

That is which is why Hutton has claimed that Chelsea will bring in some more fresh faces. When asked for his assessment of Chelsea’s transfer window so far, Hutton told Football Insider: “You do not really hear much, you hear Arsenal are going for a couple of players and then Chelsea are in for them.

I understand that they have got a lot of injury problems at the moment, form has not been ideal, they are not in a position in the league that they want to be in.

So I understand why they want to bring people in.

There is no rhyme or reason to who they are going for. You would like to think they have got a plan, it would be silly just to throw money away.

At this moment in time it does not seem that way. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the transfer window plays out. They are not scared of flashing the cash so I do not think they are done yet.

Chelsea have brought some very exciting players over the past few weeks – but they now need to make sure that a new striker is signed by the club – otherwise they will continue to struggle for goals from now until the end of the season.
