Wow! Chelsea fans told £60 million rated winger Odoi ‘is better than’ £58 million signing Pulisic
Micky Gray has claimed that Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi is a better player than new summer signing Christian Pulisic.
The youngster is one of the most highly-rated wingers in world football after an impressive season at Stamford Bridge this season and his performances for Maurizio Sarri’s side over the past 12 months have caught the attentions of many top managers.
He is expected to be the long-term replacement for the now departed Eden hazard, when he returns from injury, as Frank Lampard has revealed that the winger is integral to the Blues side.
Pulisic, who joined Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund in January for £58m, will be the only new addition to Lampard’s squad before the 2019/20 campaign, with the American also one of the most exciting wingers in the game after making a name for himself over in the Bundesliga.
Pulisic was linked with the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United before signing with the Blues, as he could not turn t=down the opportunity to play with the club when they came calling during the winter transfer window.
However, Gray believes 18-year-old Hudson-Odoi possesses more quality than the American does at this moment in time.
“Hudson-Odoi, if he stays at Chelsea. Personally, at the moment, I think he’s a better player than Pulisic,” Gray told the Sports Bar.
“I’ve seen him play six or seven times, and, yes, he’s got some nice ability. I think he’s raw, and I don’t think he’s ready to play every single week in the Premier League.”
Both Pulisic and Hudson-Odoi are two of the finest talents in the game and will excite many Chelsea fans next season, especially if they can form a deadly partnership with Tammy Abraham in the attack.
There will be many debate about whom is better, but Chelsea just need them to gel together and get the club back in the Champions league, as they will need all the help they can get now Hazard has gone.
Chelsea are heading into a new generation of football, but with these two, it could be a very exiting time to be a Blue.
