Owner Lopez officially tells Lampard Chelsea can sign striker for £70 million Oismhen this summer
Lille owner Gerard Lopez has revealed that Chelsea target Victor Osimhen will cost £70million this summer.
There has been so much speculation around Chelsea transfers in the summer window that fans are starting to get fed up of all the rumours, but since there is not any football going on, there isnt much news around.
Michy Batshuayi is now the latest name to be linked with a transfer move away from Chelsea after Olivier Giroud recently agreed to stay at Stamford Bridge for at least another 12 months.
That has led to alot of speculation in the media about whom could come in and be replacements for one of the Belgian, with a whole host of top names linked with a move to Chelsea in the coming weeks.
And one name that has now been added to that shopping list is that of Osimhen, who has impressed over in the French League this season with his goals and performances.
Osimhen has netted 18 goals in Ligue 1 this season after joining from Belgian side Sporting Charleroi last summer for around £10m, but Chelsea have been warned that they will not be able to sign the striker on the cheap.
Lopez told the Daily Mail: ‘There are multiple offers. We turned down one English and one Spanish offer this January transfer window.
‘There is a wide array [this summer] and I wouldn’t want to give the names of the clubs who are bidding but what I can tell you is that there are multiple [offers]. There are three championships that have clubs that have bid for him.
‘I am not being a sales guy because last year people didn’t believe that we had the offers we had with [Nicolas] Pepe and it turns out we had multiple of them.
‘Let me tell you with Osimhen, it is the same thing, whatever number you heard, the high number I have read is very much on the money of the offers that we have received. That’s where we are.’
Osimhen is a very good striker that has been banging in the goals, but guys, is he really worth that £70 million? That is alot to pay for a man that still has alot to prove in the game.
