Chelsea declares interest in completing deal summer deal for Bundesliga star

Chelsea have reportedly declared their interest in signing Bayern Munich star Benjamin Pavard this summer
Thomas Tuchel has seen a number of players leave the club already this transfer window and is keen for Ted Boehly to back him in his quest to bring in a few world class players
Buying a couple of new defenders and adding a striker to the squad is high up on the agenda for Tuchel – and now it seems that Chelsea is very much interested in signing Pavard from Bayern Munich
Pavard has held discussions with Bayern about leaving Munich this summer and According to Sky Germany, the negotiations “do not rule out a separation” as the full back is unhappy at potentially losing his place in the team after Noussair Mazraoui’s arrival from Ajax.
Add that to the fact that Matthijs De Ligt has also joined the Bundesliga club – and Pavard is falling further down the pecking order
Chelsea is said to have already “signalled an interest” in the France International, whose deal runs until 2024 but the club could cash in if he remains unhappy

Chelsea fans can all surely be unhappy with the business that the club have failed to do so far this summer window – but surely, they will now start seeing more players make the move to the club?
Pavard is a very good attacking defender that has proven himself at the very highest level of the game – so if the reports are true and Chelsea have declared their interest in the Bundesliga star – he could be a great signing for the club
It will be interesting to see how this plays out over the next couple of days – but as we said – he would be a player that would add to this Blues squad and freshen up an area of the pitch that needs sorting out
Pavard is a very gifted player that has the potential to become one of the very best defenders in the world – so if there is a chance to snap him up – he would be a very good signing for the Blues
If they managed to complete a deal
