Blues fans told Chelsea board plan on having £300k-a-week star at Stamford Bridge!

According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are not planning to offload Raheem Sterling this summer – but they should according to reporter Iomie Stanley.

The 29-year-old England international was one of the first high-profile arrivals of the Todd Boehly era in the summer of 2022 but has failed to live up to such heights since moving to Stamford Bridge.

As a result, it has been speculated recently that the Blues could look to offload Sterling and his hefty wages this summer, but Romano has insisted that is not the case.

Writing in his Caught Offside column, Romano said: “Someone who is not planning to make a move at least as of now is Raheem Sterling.

“He isn’t leaving CHELSEA and joining Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahçe, even if the Turkish club are willing to make very good investments for the Portuguese manager.

“I repeat, there is absolutely nothing between Raheem Sterling and Fenerbahçe. Zero. No contracts ongoing, no negotiations ongoing, no talks.

“We will follow the situation but everything is really quiet around Sterling at the moment.”

However – reporter Iomie Stanley has claimed that it is a mistake to keep hold of Sterling this season and he will just be collecting that massive wage for poor performances next season, he told icfootballnews: ‘When Chelsea signed Sterling they believed that they ere signing a player that could bang in 20-30 goals a season, he really was one of the best in the Premier League.

‘But despite the fact he was Premier League proven – despite the fact he has won multiple trophies and despite the fact he has proven to be one of the best, he was pretty poor last season.

‘He really struggled to make a big impact under Mauricio Pochettino and ended the season with just 8 goals – which is not good enough for a player of his calibre.

‘His wages are over £300k-a-week – he will not be getting any better and his best years were at Man City – CHELSEA should sell him for a big amount of money and get as much as they can, while they can.

‘They have no plans to sell the player – but Enzo Maresca will soon find out that Sterling is not te player he was at Liverpool and then Man City – Chelsea should sell the player’
