Kante to sign, Pulisic boost, Sarri backed to sign striker, Sandro dream, Isco offer in Chelsea Wednesday

Here is a roundup of todays Chelsea news, gossip and transfer rumours.

Fresh reports have claimed Chelsea are confident shock Manchester United target N’Golo Kante will sign the 300,000-a-week deal to stay at the club.

Regarded as one of the best central midfielders in world football, Kante has become an integral part of the Blues starting eleven, protecting the back-line but also adding to the attack with his passing ability and powerful runs.

However, there has been some speculation in the media as of late which have claimed United have contacted the Frenchman’s entourage about a stunning move to Old Trafford, with Jose Mourinho desperate to add a few world class players to his line-up.

But the Sky Sports website has claimed the Blues have offered Kante a massive £15 million a year contract to stay at the club, and make him the highest paid at Stamford Bridge, with reports Eden Hazard will not be signing a new contract to stay as he wants a switch to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The contract offer would double his current wage at Stamford Bridge and also take him over the £220,000-a-week contract Eden Hazard is currently receiving.

Kante admitted last month there had been contact with PSG, but insisted he was happy at Chelsea, stating: ‘There was not a big desire on my side to go elsewhere after the World Cup. There was interest from other clubs, but after speaking with Chelsea, things were clear.

‘The club is counting on me and I feel good here. What was logical therefore was to stay at Chelsea. There were some discussions with PSG. But after a discussion with Chelsea I understood that what was most important was to feel good where I was.

‘I feel good at Chelsea. It is good for me to stay at Chelsea.’ (Read more)

Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda has claimed Chelsea have made an offer to sign up unhappy Real Madrid midfielder Isco this coming January transfer window.

The Spaniard has frustrated the fans and club this season with some below par performances, and has found his game time very limited at the Bernabeu with the likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Gareth Bale and Isco all ahead of him in the pecking order.

And that has led to talk President Florentino Perez is ready to cash in and use the funds to land target Eden Hazard from Chelsea in the next few transfer windows, as they seek to finally fill the void that could be left by star Cristiano Ronaldo, who signed for Juventus in the summer.

recent reports claimed Isco is upset with Real Madrid and new boss Santiago Solari for the lack of confidence and game time, having played less than under former boss Zinedine Zidane last season.

The report goes on to say he would also be ready to listen to offers in the January transfer window, with some even claiming that he’s already received a few proposals.

Now Inda has claimed that Chelsea have already made an offer to take him to Stamford Bridge, telling OK Diario: “They consider that Isco is not involved in the group, that he is doing his thing, that he is having problems with his weight… so he is thinking of going to the Premier League.

“He has an offer from Chelsea and another from Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.

“I think that in a style of play like City’s he could do very well.

“Cristiano Ronaldo did not like to play with him because he said he kept the game a lot,” (Read more)

Juventus star Alex Sandro admits he dreams of playing in the Premier League in the future, with Chelsea linked with a big move.

Regarded as one of the finest full-backs in Europe, Sandro has been linked with a shock move to Stamford Bride after reports emerged which claimed Maurizio Sarri is keen to spend £200 million in the January window on improving his squad.

The Blues are facing a transfer window ban for their transfer dealings of under-age talents and Sarri is keen to get his business done before they simply cannot buy anymore players.

Juve are reportedly demanding a fee of around €60million (£53m) from potential suitors for Sandro which Chelsea are reportedly ready to pay, and would sell in January if they found an adequate replacement.

And although Sandro has admitted he is happy, the 27-year old has admitted he has a dream to play in the Premier League.

Asked about playing in England while on international duty with Brazil, Sandro said on the TMW website: ‘I think, one day, who knows what will happen?

‘I have a desire to play in the Premier League but right now I am very happy where I am at, the club I am at [Juventus], the league I am playing in.

‘So today my only thought is to continue where I am because that’s where I feel happy.’ (Read more)

Christian Pulisic will discuss his Borussia Dortmund future in January amid reports Chelsea are lining up a massive £88 million move.

Regarded as one of the finest talents in world football, the gifted 20-year old American has reportedly caught the attentions of Blues boss Maurizio Sarri over the last few weeks with the Italian looking to bolster his attack in the coming transfer window.

Despite having the likes of Eden Hazard, Willin, Pedro, Alvaro Morata, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic, Chelsea are lacking that out-and-out winger that could add real creativity and width to the side, something Pulisic would add if he made the move.

And amid speculation Chelsea are ready to splash close to £88 million to acquire his services, Pulisic has now announced he will consider his future when the January transfer window open up in the next few weeks.

“I’m still focused on Dortmund. We are doing great this season,” Pulisic told NBC Sports.

“Once the break comes [in January], that is always when I will have to discuss with Dortmund and see about my future.” (Read more)

Chelsea hero Pat Nevin has backed Maurizio Sarri to sign a new striker, with Mauro Icardi and Krzysztof Piatek both linked with moves.

Despite their brilliant start to the new season, in which Sarri has seen his side go unbeaten, the Blues are lacking that fire-power which would make them serious challengers for the Premier League title, as both Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud are struggling to find the back of the net.

Morata has not been worth his £64 million price tag and has only managed six goals this season in a Blues shirt, while Giroud has only netted once in all competitions, despite the fact he has played a big number of games under Sarri.

And that has led to speculation Sarri is ready to sanction a January move for either Icardi or Piatek, who have both his nine goals each this season and are both showing the kind of ability that would make the real Premier League hitmen.

And Nevin has claimed Sarri will have a new striker by the start of next season, telling the Daily Express website: “It’s not the end of the road for Morata or Giroud.

“I do expect a new centre-forward by next season. But having three strikers is not beyond the realms of possibility. Football is not all about statistics.

“Mateo Kovacic plays in this Chelsea system when Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley both score more goals. It’s a team game.

“And Giroud did not score at the World Cup and France won it. Chelsea have not been doing too bad, having not lost a game.

“Every centre-forward wants to get the ball in early before he is marked.

“But after 140 passes before the ball arrives, losing your marker is not going to happen if he has been looking at you for two minutes.

“It’s not impossible, but it’s much more difficult. Certain styles aren’t perfect for certain players. The system does not need a target man. It needs an aggressive, skilful player who is a natural goalscorer.

“But the complete package, like a Sergio Aguero or Luis Suarez, is not easy to come by.” (Read more)
