Sarri ready to raid Spurs! Chelsea boss to take advantage and try to sign £225 million man Eriksen
Fresh reports have again claimed Chelsea are lining up a massive move for Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen, who has not signed a new contract with the club.
Eriksen has had another outstanding season at Spurs and has become one of the best creative midfielders in the Premier League right now, but there has been some speculation that he could leave the club in the coming windows after failing to agree a contract with Spurs.
It is believed that Spurs and Eriksen cannot agree on the wages, as the Denmark International would like to sign a deal that takes him to the upper end of the Spurs wage budget, While Spurs do not want to break the back to offer him a new deal.
That has led to speculation that United, Real Madrid and Chelsea are all interested in trying to prise Eriksen away, as all have been long-time admirers of the Spurs man.
And now Spanish publication AS has claimed Chelsea are ready to push their rivals in a bid to keep Eriksen in the Premier League, with Maurizio Sarri already announcing he is a big fan of the Danish midfielder.
However, Spurs are in no mood to do business and recent reports have claimed Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy has stuck a record £225 million price tag on the head of Eriksen in hope of warding off any interest in one of the clubs best players, despite the fact that he only has 18 months remaining on his current Spurs contract.
Will Eriksen get the Spurs contract he wants?
Tottenham may be one of the best teams in the Premier League right now, and they may also have some of the best players, but they are no fools and will not offer a player more wages than their cap, even for the clubs biggest players.
Eriksen would like to stay and the price tag Levy has stuck on Eriksen means that Spurs done want to lose him, but if United, Chelsea or Madrid come calling with the right offer them Spurs will have no choice but to sell.
