Lopetegui wants to complete £200 million Hazard move as Chelsea in talks over £391,000-a-week deal

Real Madrid head coach Julen Lopetegui wants to sign Chelsea forward Eden Hazard, according to reports from Spain.

Hazard is now playing some of the best football of his career and is enjoying praise from all over Europe, with many bosses and players claiming that the Belgian is now one of the best five players in world football, behind the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

But he has already admitted that he would be open to the idea of packing his nags and making the big money move to Madrid, with the Spaniards keen to acquire his services after letting Ronaldo join Juventus for £100 million in the summer.

And with reports Hazard is in talks to sign a massive £391,000-a-week contract at Stamford Bridge, reports from Spanish website Don Balon have now claimed Lopetegui wants to sign Hazard at the end of the summer, rather than a £200 million deal for PSG superstar Neymar.

The European champions have long been linked with PSG’s Brazil international but Lopetegui is understood to favour a move for Hazard, as he believes the Belgian will add more to his attack than the diving Brazilian.

Here is what we think on Hazard once again being linked with Madrid.

Hazard is a man that is coming into his prime and it is easy to see why Chelsea want to tie him down to a big new contract, but Madrid has always interested him and the right offer next summer will surely tempt Chelsea into selling and possibly using the funds to land Mbappe or Gareth Bale.
