London raid? Lampard needs a world class striker and Chelsea have the money to get £150m Premier League done
Chelsea will reportedly have a £200 million transfer kitty to play with next summer, and they should seriously consider a move for Tottenham striker Harry Kane
Now we all know that Chelsea were unable to go out and splash the cash on some big named players as they were banned from acquiring any players for at least two transfer windows, and although they did appeal the ban, they only managed to tie down a permanent deal for Mateo Kovacic and bring in Christian Pulisic.
News boss Frank Lampard has a massive job on his hands trying to get the best out of the experienced players, while also giving the younger generation more of a chance at Stamford Bridge, as he could not improve the squad.
But with the sales of a number of first-team players, the Blues made a massive £130 million in sales this summer and that is to be reinvested into the club next summer, as Lampard will reportedly get around £200 million to spend on new players.
And we have suggested that the Chelsea boss goes out and buys a number of top-class signings, and Kane should be high up on the shopping list.
Spurs have no desire to let one of the star players leave the club, especially to a top four rival. But Chairman Daniel Levy is a businessman and the right offer from Chelsea will indeed get a deal done for Kane.
Kane has proven over the past few seasons that he is already one of the best strikers in the game, netting 25-plus goals a season for Spurs. But there is a feeling that he wants to win trophies and if Tottenham go much longer without nailing down a trophy or two, then the clubs biggest players will leave the club.
Chelsea are a team that manage to pick up trophies on a regular basis, they reached the League Cup final last season and win the Europa League title, when no one gave them a chance of picking up any kind of silverware.
They have showed time and time and time again that they are winners and even though Spurs are one of the most exciting sides in Europe right now, they are still a few seasons away from beating the Liverpool’s Manchester Citys and even Chelsea’s to some domestic success.
If Tottenham do not win anything this year, then Kane may decided that now is the best time to leave and with Levy seeking around £150 million for the services of Kane, Chelsea will have the budget and financial power to complete a potential deal for Kane.
Tammy Abraham is a very exciting young striker, but he still has a lot of developing to do, while Oliver Giroud is coming towards the back end of his career and is Chelsea want a proven goal-scorer, there are not too many out there better than Kane.
