Chelsea signs midfielder, Jackson told challenging potential Chelsea signing, Blues wants impressing Bundesliga star
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed today…
Former CHELSEA star Gus Poyet has urged Nicolas Jackson to challenge the Blues over their alleged pursuit of Victor Osimhen, with constant reports in the media suggesting that the Premier League giants are still keen on trying to sign the Nigerian star in the coming windows.
The 25-year-old Nigeria striker has hit the ground running in Turkey after completing a season-long loan move from Napoli to Galatasaray in September, scoring nine goals in all competitions already for the Turkish giants.
There has been alot of transfer speculation in the media that the likes of Chelsea are still interested in getting a deal done for a new striker in the January window, despite their great start to the new season, and Osimhen is a player that the club are very much interested in signing.
But former Blues forward and Uruguay international Gus Poyet heaped praise on Senegalese striker Jackson as he spoke on how the youngster has improved in stature since his debut in the Premier League last summer. Indeed, he is undoubtedly the club’s first-choice striker now, although talk of Osimhen arriving, given his reputation as one of the top marksmen in Europe, isn’t likely to sit well with the former Villarreal forward.
Speaking to BetVictor, Poyet said: “I absolutely loved him in Spain, I think he was impressive. Again, he came to a club where it was 50/50. A striker needs a team to play well for him to go and finish, which is very important.
‘He scored a lot last year, the problem was that CHELSEA weren’t doing well and people thought he didn’t score enough. Again, the team has settled and he’s taken advantage of that.
“Competition for place up front with a new signing? If I were him, I would say ‘bring whoever you want’. I’m here every weekend.
‘Now is he going to score a hat-trick against Spurs again? It’s difficult, and that game last year was so unique with the high line.”

Look, As we have said before, it makes sense for Osimhen to stay put until the end of the season, a permanent transfer deal would be complicated in the January window and the Nigerian will have more offers at the end of the year.
Jackson has been decent, but he may never score the goals that could help win that Premier League title
CHELSEA SIGN EBOUE
Eboue is an England youth international, with three caps for the Under-16s. He has enjoyed a meteoric rise through Watford’s youth academy and has played for the Under-21s, despite only being 15.
Per Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have completed a deal to sign Mathis Eboue from Watford. The midfielder is the son of former Arsenal star Emmanuel, and is now poised to make the move to Stamford Bridge, where he will link up with the club’s academy.

If the reports are true and Chelsea have managed to sign up the young man from Watford in a deal that would probably upset his father, the lad must have something special.
Chelsea have been making moves over the past couple of transfer windows in order to try and sign the best young players in the game, out them into thee academy and develop those players for future sales.
Eboue is a talent that could make a name for himself in the game over the next few seasons, it is massive that Chelsea have snapped him up and he must be very excited, but at the end of the day, he would have probably got more of a chance at Watford.
Anyways, as we said, the lad must be very happy that he has agreed that move to CHELSEA and hopefully, he wont get lost in the system, like so many young players manage these days.
CHELSEA WANTS NMECHA
CHELSEA are one of three Premier League clubs said to be in the race for Borussia Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha. According to Bild in Germany, Manchester United and Newcastle United are also wanting to sign the 24-year-old.
The 24-year-old is not the biggest name in European football, but he’s really started to impress at Dortmund, playing a key role for the club last season as they reached the final of the Champions League.
Nmecha was previously on the books at Manchester City as a youngster, though he made only two senior appearances for the club before moving on. Since then, Nmecha has gone from strength to strength, and he recently became a full Germany international despite also representing England at youth level.
The Blues have plenty of options in the centre of midfield with the likes of Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, Romeo Lavia and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall at Enzo Maresca’s disposal. Whether Chelsea would look to move one of these players on before bolstering their squad remains to be seen.

Chelsea have been making moves over the past couple of transfer windows in order to try and sign the best young players in the game, and they must believe that the Dortmund star is good enough to make the move to Stamford Bridge.
He has been impressing over in the Bundesliga and is probably almost ready to make that next step in his career, but if he makes the moves too early, it could ruin all the development that he has managed over the past few seasons.
Chelsea are always keen to sign players, but right now, at this stage, adding a new midfielder to the side is something that Enzo Maresca does not need as he simply has a variety of players to choose from already.
So saying that, we would be shocked to see him at CHELSEA in the coming windows.
