Chelsea vs Liverpool! Blues star Hazard sends Prem warning to title chasing Klopp

Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard has told Liverpool they are once again ready to derail Jurgen Klopp’s quest to land a Premier League title, just like they did five seasons ago.

Chelsea’s visit to Anfield on Sunday has drawn comparisons to the two sides’ meeting almost five years ago, when the then Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard slipped to gift the Blues the lead, and hand eventual champions Manchester City an advantage in the title race.

Klopp’s current side similarly precarious lead at the top of the table this season and any setback in their final five games could once again hand City the initiative, something that Chelsea are hoping to do in their quest to get back into the Champions League spots by the end of the season.

And Hazard, who has scored four times in his last five league games, has sent a stark warning to the title chasing Liverpool, telling the BBC website: ‘We don’t care about who can win the title, we’ll go there and try to win the game.

‘They are a fantastic team to watch, their manager is great. They have some of the best players in the world. But we are Chelsea, we can beat anyone.’

Hazard has been in superb form for Chelsea over the past few months, despite all the transfer speculation surrounding his future, and he will be the man that Liverpool need to stop in order to pick up the three points.

Asked how he plans to stop the Belgium international, Klopp said: “We will try to make sure he doesn’t shine by reading the game and reading passes to him, reacting a little better.

“It’s not easy. In some situations you can’t defend and hopefully help will come in from somewhere else.

“On his day he can be the world’s best. He has had a brilliant career so far and he has a lot of the things that I like in football.

“He is a good player but with all good players, they have to play against us and we will try everything to deny a couple of his skills.”

These two sides as two of the best in the country and as a neutral, this game should be amazing to watch. But if Liverpool are serious about winning the premier League title, then they just need to do what they have been doing all season, and play their football.

It will be very hard to predict this one as it could go either way, but Liverpool have the better all around squad and Chelsea will find it difficult to get through that world class back-line Klopp has.

Liverpool should walk away winners from this game with a 2-0 victory.
