Chelsea still working on deal to sign up world class midfielder – he wants to sign with Blues

CHELSEA are still trying to convince N’Golo Kante to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge, but it’s possible he could leave.

Kante has been such a brilliant player for Chelsea ever since he arrived at the club all those seasons ago  -but over the past 12 months he has been plagued by injuries.

It has impacted how much game time he has received at Chelsea – and also impacted his ability to get the kind of deal that he desires to stay at Stamford Bridge.

Fabrizio Romano reports the Frenchman wants to stay with the Blues as he loves the club, but with time running out, he could move on.

However, Al-Ittihad and Al-Nassr have identified Kante as a potential signing and are in talks with the player’s agents ahead of a summer transfer to Saudi Arabia.

Despite his injury issues – Kante is still one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League and many Chelsea fans would be very sad to see him depart the club.

But at this stage of his career – if he cannot get the terms that he desires – then a move away may be the best thing for him.

There are several big names now making the move to Saudi Arabian football and if the offer is there – why not take it?

It would be amazing if Chelsea were able to come to an agreement with the Frenchman – but if he does move on – Chelsea fans will wish him all the best as he has been world class for the club.
