Chelsea board to make offer for Premier League star after £55M transfer decision made!
Chelsea have reignited their interest in Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Despite the fact that CHELSEA have only just hired a new manager after they just decided to part ways with Mauricio Pochettino – he board will still look to get some transfer deals done whether a new coach is at the club or not.
Sky Sports News reported Chelsea’s desire to sign the Villa striker in the January transfer window and were looking to reignite their interest in the Villa star once that transfer window opened up in a few days time.
But despite the fact that Pochettino is no longer boss of the club, as he wanted the player, CHELSEA are back in the hunt for the striker after one of their top targets – Benjamin Sesko – made the decision to not leave RB Leipzig this summer
Duran signed for Villa in a deal worth £18m in January 2023 and the 20-year-old scored eight goals last season.
Duran’s agent Jonathan Herrera recently claimed the interest remains and he is fully expecting an offer to be made in the next few months.
“He is a player who has a contract with Aston Villa, he ended up doing very well and the coach is counting on him,” Herrera told El VBar Caracol.
“It is a club that, having got into the Champions League is a great opportunity, but we know he wants to play, he wants to go out and play, we are going to see. Now the market is opening up, the club is looking at some options and so are we.
“The interest has always been there. The fact that Pochettino continues or leaves the club [shouldn’t affect], the one who want him in the end is the club.
“He is a player that if they change coach or not, we will see what happens, but there has always been interest. Let’s see how we can handle it and make sure Aston Villa are ready.”

I WILL STAND MY GROUNDS THAT VICTOR OSHIME IS THE FINAL CHAPTER FOR CHELSEA’S STRIKER WOES. THOUGH HIS PRICE MIGHT BE THE REASON FOR CHELSEA WILDRAWER OF BUYING HIM. CHELSEA SHOULD LEARN FROM REAL MADRID WHEN THEY BOUGHT CR7 FROM MAN UNITED. SO THAT HIS JESSY SALES, TRAINNING SHOES ETC WILL ADD TO MARKET CAPITALIZATION. BY THIS, CHELSEA WILL NOT REGRATE. HOWEVER, SELL MORE UNUSED PLAYERS TO GENERATE MORE FUNDS. PLEASE SELL MODRID AND ENZO FENANDES AND BUY A CREATIVE MIDFILERS JUST LIKE MAKALELE AND MIKE OBI. BY THIS THE MID FIELD WILL BE SOLID.
PLEASE SELL MUDRYK AND ENZO FENANDES TO GENERATE MORE FUNS AND BUY SOLID CREATIVE MIDFIELDERS, A LEFT WINGER LIKE OLISE AND A TOP NINE STRIKER LIKE OSHIME VICTOR.
