‘What surprised me is how he slipped through the fingers of United with him being at Manchester City and then getting his chance at Chelsea.

‘He is a player that can make a difference, could he play for United in the future? Yeah, I can’t see why not.

GARNACHO MESSAGE SENT

Ruben Amorim has told Alejandro Garnacho that he will remain at Old Trafford if CHELSEA do not meet Manchester United’s asking price this summer, as the Blues continue to be linked with the unhappy winger.

After falling out of favour at the back-end of last season, Garnacho has been heavily tipped to leave United this transfer window, with a number of clubs joining Chelsea in the hunt for the £60 million valued South American.

However, Amorim is adamant that Garnacho will be reintegrated back into United’s first team if he fails to secure a move away before the end of the summer transfer window, as the Blues will have to meet the clubs demands to secure a transfer move.

Asked if United are concerned by the possibility of reducing the value of their unwanted players such as Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Antony by leaving them out of their pre-season tour of the United States, Amorim said on Friday: ‘I think that is not the case.

‘There are different reasons for the players. Some players have to find a new place to have more space in the team, other players clearly show that they want a new challenge and they want new teams.

‘So we are just allowing these players time to think and to decide.

‘If they reach a point where they have to join the team they will join the team because they are our players.

‘I know for a fact Omar [Berrada] and Jason [Wilcox] and the club have a number for these players. If they don’t reach that they will be Manchester United players, no doubts about that.

‘I understand the club are maybe waiting for the last minute but they can have a surprise and I am ready, I am ready to receive the players.

‘They have more competition, if they want to play in the World Cup they need to play so I’m really happy with that because I will have more options.

‘If they have to fight each other to play for me that is perfect.’

ISAK MOVE TO BE MADE?

Alexander Isak has had his head well and truly turned by by a big money move this transfer window, and it has now been claimed that CHELSEA are willing to offer Nicolas Jackson and Raheem Sterling plus £70 million to secure the signing of the big Swedish star

Chelsea have been very busy this transfer window, they have spent over £200 million on bringing in new players to improve many areas of the squad and now look like a side that can challenge for that Premier League title next season.

Joao Pedro and Liam Delap have both arrived this transfer window, but with the reports that Nicolas Jackson could be leaving the club this transfer window, there may be a chance for another striker to be signed and Isak is a player that Chelsea really admire.

Newcastle made it clear earlier in the transfer window Isak was not for sale this week when Liverpool stepped up their interest in the striker. The Magpies value Isak, who scored 23 Premier League goals last season, at £150m at least.

However  – He missed their pre-season game against Celtic on Saturday, with Eddie Howe admitting that was partly down to speculation, as well as a thigh niggle.

But a few days ago came the news that he had been left out of the squad for Newcastle’s pre-season tour – and then that he had told the club he wanted to explore his options in the transfer window.

With a £150million price tag, there aren’t too many options – especially when you discount Saudi Arabia, but reports have claimed that Chelsea are ready to make their move to land one of the clubs long-term targets.

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to offer Jackson and Sterling as part of the deal that would secure the signing of Isak, as the Blues are looking to get Sterlings £325k-a-week wages off the books, while Jackson will not be needed as much as he was last campaign.

If CHELSEA, Arsenal or Liverpool managed to sign Isak, they would be favourites to win that Premier League title next season, the big striker is one of the best around and would immediately improve those attacks.

Chelsea have improved that attack already this summer, but adding Isak and getting rid of Jackson and Sterling in the process, it would be some great business by the Blues.
