Chelsea have made an improved bid for Inter Milan full-back Achraf Hakimi, according to the latest transfer reports.
Thomas Tuchel is a man that knows he needs to keep improving the side in the transfer window as he will need to add a bit more quality to the squad.
That has led to reports in the media that Chelsea are very interested in trying to secure a transfer deal for Hakimi, who is now regarded as one of the very best defenders in Seria A.
Hakimi helped Inter win the Seria A title this season, but the Italians are in debt and they must sell a number of players in the transfer window in order to balance the books, and Hakimi is a man that they will allow to leave
Chelsea are already believed to have made an initial offer worth €60million (£51.5m) plus a choice of Emerson Palmieri or Andreas Christensen, and are even prepared to offer a few more players in a bid to get a deal done
But now the Blues are looking to win the race to sign Hakimi as they look to strengthen their defensive options for a Premier League title tilt next season, as Corriere dello Sport claim that Chelsea have made an improved offer to get a deal done.
It is not known how much Chelsea have submitted in order to sign Hakimi, but as Inter know there is alot of interest in the players signature, they are prepared to hold out for the biggest amount of money that they can.
Chelsea are leading the race to sign Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish – according to the lastest reports in the media.
Since helping Aston Villa get back into the Premier League just a few seasons ago, Grealish has developed into one of the very best and most creative players in the Premier League.
His performances has led to constant speculation that the likes of Chelsea is very keen to add him to the squad after the European Championships, but will have a battle as there are a number of clubs that are interested in a deal
However, reports on the Fichajes.net website has claimed that The Blues are in a strong position to complete a £100 million ($141m) deal for the 25-year-old, as they have the financial power to complete a deal
Grealish is still under contract at Villa Park until 2025, but Chelsea are ready to test their resolve by submitting a nine-figure bid at the end of the Championships.
There has been alot said about the brilliance of Grealish over the past few seasons and it is very easy to see just why so many clubs out there are keen to sign up his signature.
Chelsea already have a number of midfielders that are world class, but if they can add Grealish to the side, he will add that bit of extra quality that the club have been lacking in the Premier League.
Tuchel is expected to sign some big players this transfer window, but Grealish is a player that many Chelsea fans would love to see in the side on a weekly basis.
Jermaine Jenas has backed Chelsea to beat their domestic and European rivals to a summer deal for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.
Chelsea have just got back inside that top four and won the Champions League title, But Tuchel knows that he needs to keep adding to the squad over the course of the window as Manchester City will be stronger next season.
That has led to a whole load of rumours that Tuchel wants to add another striker and midfielder to the squad, with a number of world class players linked, with the latest reports claiming that Chelsea have opened talks with Erling Haaland about a new deal
Norway international Haaland has established himself as one of the most prolific goalscorers in the world over the past three seasons, scoring 27 goals in 29 matches for former club Red Bull Salzburg and 59 goals in 57 games for current team Dortmund.
And amid all the speculation surrounding his future, Jenas has backed Chelsea to bring the big man to the Premier League: ‘Chelsea are the only football club that could get Erling Haaland tomorrow,’ he was quoted on the Metro
‘That is how their model works. The Haaland deal is very complicated. There are a lot of payments, the dad, the agent, then you have to get the top fee to get him out from Borussia Dortmund this year.
‘If you wait a year you get him for significantly less than you would now. But you are in a competitive market where it will drag the price higher
‘Chelsea can pay the wages. You can easily see Roman Abramovich turning to Thomas Tuchel and going, “Listen, here is £200m, go and get what you want”.’
Chelsea would send a real statement to the rest of the Premier League if they managed to get a deal done
Jermaine Jenas believes Chelsea are more likely to sign Erling Haaland than Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku during this summer’s transfer window.
With the Blues looking to improve the squad and add a number of players to the side, there has been alot of speculation in the media which have suggested that Chelsea are interested in a deal for Haaland and Lukaku.
Haaland is regarded as one of the finest strikers in world football and has been linked with all the major clubs around Europe, while Lukaku had an amazing season with Inter Milan and helped the squad win that Seria A title for the first time in 11 seasons.
But despite the rumours that Lukaku is the number one transfer target for Chelsea, Jenas has opened up and claimed that the board are much more likely to sign Haaland from Dortmund this coming window.
Is [Romelu] Lukaku the one? I don’t think Chelsea go back very much with players,’ Jenas was quoted on the Metro
‘I think they will go younger and go with Haaland. I think they may go for it this year.
‘They know they are probably the only ones along with Man City or PSG that can move that quick and that fast to make it happen. If they get Haaland, they will compete for the league, no doubt.’
There is no doubt that Chelsea need to add another striker to the squad in the summer, so either one of these two players would be a massive signing for the club. But considering Lukaku doesnt want to come back to the Premier League, we totally agree with Jenas on this one
