Chelsea submit Dembele offer, Hazard makes decision and Dembele told to get out of Barcelona in Chelsea roundup…

Chelsea are closing in on a transfer deal for Ousmane Dembele, reports have claimed

Dembele is out of contract at the end of the current campaign and talks between player and club over a Nou Camp extension have recently ground to a halt following the Frenchman’s substantial demands.

The winger is reportedly pushing for an annual salary of £25million and a separate signing bonus of £25m, while his agent is believed to have stipulated a commission of £13m – demands which have been deemed ‘crazy’ by the Barcelona hierarchy, according to reports in Spain.

That has led to many reports in the media suggesting that Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is open to the idea of bringing him to the Premier League this transfer window.

Dembele enjoyed his best form at Dortmund under current Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, so it would not be a surprise to see the two reunited at Stamford Bridge, especially as Chelsea know they may be able to get the Frenchman for a bargain

And it has been claimed in Spanish media that Chelsea are one of three clubs to submit an offer to the Frenchman in order to wrap up a transfer deal.

Now, amid the speculation, and Speaking to RMC Sport, his agent Moussa Sissoko criticised the club’s negotiating strategy.

“It’s a stroke of pressure that doesn’t work with people like us,” he said.

“Maybe it can work with agents who are close with Barcelona. It’s not my case, I am here to defend the interests of my player.

“The truth must be told. Yes, we have demanding demands, but we have already shown that Ousmane’s career choices are not dictated by money, otherwise he wouldn’t be here.

“Then if Barcelona wanted to negotiate, he could have tried to come to the table with us to discuss. Except that there is no discussion and threats no longer work on their side. It’s forbidden. We will assert Ousmane Dembele’s rights if necessary.”

Chelsea are reportedly “not an option” for Eden Hazard as he looks to stay at Real Madrid until the summer.

Hazard was easily regarded as one of the top five players in world football after developing into a real star at Chelsea, performances which earned him a mega money move to sign with Real Madrid.

However, despite his excitement, despite the hype over the move and despite many people believing that he would develop into the best player in world football, Hazard has endured an injury-plagued time in Spain and has not been able to rediscover the form he showed at Stamford Bridge.

That has opened the door to a whole load of speculation about his next destination, and The Belgian winger has been linked with a return to the Premier League in the current window as his well-documented struggles at the Bernabeu continue.

Naturally, a reunion with the Blues has been touted with Newcastle also interested in the 31-year-old under the new Saudi-led ownership.

It was claimed that Roman Abramovich was the driving force behind Chelsea’s interest as the Russian owner was keen to reunite with the former Lille man, according to El Nacional

But Marca are reporting that Thomas Tuchel’s men are not one of the clubs who have offered Hazard an escape route as he looks set to remain with Madrid until at least the summer.

Hazard was a fantastic player for Chelsea during his time there and will go down as a real legend of the club, but it would have been a mistake to bring him back to the club and fans will probably be glad that he isnt moving back.

He would not be the same player he was and that would ruin his legacy at the club, but it will be interesting to see where he ends up after Madrid.

Chelsea bound Ousmane Dembele has been told to leave Barcelona as soon as possible by club chief Mateu Alemany.

Dembele has greatly frustrated since arriving at the Camp Nou. Due to a combination of both poor form and persistent injuries, he has made just 126 appearances for the Spanish giants, scoring 30 goals

However, there has been some shock speculation in the media that Chelsea may be open to the idea of bringing him to the Premier League in order to add a bit more of a goal-threat to that Attack.

It has been believed that Dembele has not agreed a new contract with the Spanish giants, despite the fact they wanted him to stay, and that is why a number of clubs have been eyeing up a potential deal.

Now, that the 24-year-old has refused to renew his contract, Director of football Alemany has opened up and told the Frenchman that he needs to leave the Spanish giants as soon as possible

He said: “We understand Dembele’s decision is to not continue (at Barça) and we’ve communicated our decision (to leave him out),” Alemany said.

“We want players that are committed to the club and we have told him he has to leave the club as soon as possible.

“We started talks in July. We have made several offers, which were all rejected. He has been told that he must leave the club, he is not committed to the project.”

Look, Dembele is a man that has struggled in La Liga, so coming to the Premier League and making an impact, will not happen. He is not built for the English game

If Chelsea do sign the player, it will probably be a mistake as we would give the side anything better than they already have at the club

So it will be interesting to see if Chelsea make that offer
