World class stopper makes decision and wants to make Premier League move, with Chelsea ready to wrap up deal?
Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana wants to move to the Premier League as Chelsea are reportedly interested in a £25 million transfer deal.
There has been a lot of speculation in the media over the past few months which has suggested that Frank Lampard is keen to offload Spanish stopper Kepa in the summer after becoming frustrated at the young mans performances on a weekly basis.
And that has led to speculation in the media suggesting that Lampard is keen to add a new stopper to the side, with Ajax ace Onana on the shopping list of the Chelsea boss after establishing himself as one of the best stoppers in Europe.
Onana helped Ajax reach the Champions League semi-finals last season and also helped the Dutch side regain their title after a few years of trying, and his performances caught the attentions of Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United over the last couple of transfer windows, but it seemed that he had no desire to leave.
However, the summer window will be a different story and it has already been revealed that he has an agreement to leave Ajax and seek a fresh challenge in the game.
And according to reports on the Daily Express website, the top-class stopper has decided that he wants to make the big move to the Premier League, opening the door for Chelsea to swoop in and offer him a big contract at the club.
It is believed that he would be on the market for a small £25 million, which is well within the budget of Chelsea, and would be the cheaper alternative to number one transfer target Jan Oblak, who is valued by Atletico Madrid at £110 million.
If Lampard is desperate to add a stopper to the side in the summer, then Onana could be a great choice, he is proven at the top level and has the ability to be a real star in the Premier League, but Chelsea will have a battle trying to secure a deal.
