Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –

Juventus winger and long-term Chelsea target Federico Chiesa is no longer believed to be part of the Italian club’s plans.

Chiesa is a transfer target for Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United – As the winger is “very ambitious” about a move to the Prem and believes top-flight English football will enrich his career.

CHELSEA have suffered immensely in the flanks this term with Raheem Sterling underwhelming. Meanwhile, the North Londoners have heavily depended on Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli in their wings.

The Euro 2020 is now seemingly on the market ahead of Thiago Motta taking over as Juventus boss, as Sky Sport Italia state he could be “sacrificed” and is “on the market” for interested clubs.

Roma and Napoli are interested in signing the 26-year-old, but it is believed that Chiesa would be open to the idea of making a move to the Premier League this summer window.

IcFootballnews Opinion –

Chiesa is proven at the highest level of the game, has the ability to play in a number of positions, is a man that is made for the big games, and if he wants to come to the Premier League, Chelsea could be the ideal move to make.

The only problem with his potential arrival is that he is a starter, he will want to play every week, play every minute of every match and will not want to be backup.

Add that to his massive asking price – it is a deal that the Blues may not look to pursue unless they can get the Italian for an absolute bargain.

But the fact that CHELSEA do not have Champions League football – that could scupper any potential deal as the Italian is keen to keep on playing at the highest level.

Long-standing Chelsea target Mats Hummels has been released by Borussia Dortmund.

The defender helped the German giants reach the Champions League final, which they lost 2-0 to Real Madrid – but will now be a free agent this summer after the club allowed him to depart the side.

This follows after Edin Terzic headed out of the exit door after the Dortmund boss resigned over a bust-up between the pair, and the news will give the likes of CHELSEA the chance to get a transfer deal done.

Enzo Maresca is seeking to improve his squad this transfer window and is hoping to get some backing from the Blues board – as he knows that there needs to be massive improvements in key areas of the squad.

Hummels is one of the most experienced defenders in the Bundesliga and it has come as a massive surprise to see that he is now a free agent after Dortmund released him.

He may not be in his prime – but he showed last season that he is still able to keep pace with even the best of attackers – so if Maresca is looking to add some experience and leadership to the side, Hummels could be his guy.

Many doubted that Thiago Silva would be able to play in the Premier League because of his age – but top defenders know how to play the game and Hummels could certainly teach that CHELSEA back-line a thing or two.

And the fact he could be signed on a free is a massive bonus – not too much money will have to get spent – but it just depends on if the Blues board feel that Hummels has enough quality left in him to compete in the Premier League.

Chelsea are reportedly signing the Brazilian Messi – and in the video below fans can see what Messinho is all about.

Enzo Maresca has only recently been brought in to manage CHELSEA after months of speculation regarding the future of Mauricio Pochettino – but that is not stopping Ted Boehly and CO. from getting the players that they feel could develop into one of the best in the world.

Now it seems that they are closing in on a potential deal for the young man, as reports have now revealed that the Brazilian talent has passed his Chelsea medical after the Blues agreed to pay a total package of 351 million for Messinho

As you can see in the video – the lad is a very special talent that has a big future in the game – but did he really need to leave his homeland at this stage of his career?

He has been developing nicely at Palmeiras and playing on a regular basis – he may not be moving to Chelsea until the summer of 2025 – but he will still not be ready.

Chelsea should use this money and sign players that are a bit more established in the game and that can make an immediate impact – this is just another decision from the board that will not do Maresca any good.

Blues fans must be hoping that things change because CHELSEA are far too big to be challenging just for Europe – trophies and Champions League football is what a Premier League giants should be challenging for and signing Messinho will not immediately change that.

As we said – he is a very talented lad but he will not offer the club anything in the immediate future.
