Chelsea informed they can sign £40M valued powerhouse for just £9 million this month

Chelsea have reportedly been informed that they will be able to sign Marcus Thuram for just £9 million this month.

Chelsea are in all sorts of trouble right now as Graham Potter is not getting the results that the club had hoped for – while the injuries to key members of the squad just keep building up on a weekly basis.

The Blues have been prett active this transfer window already – with the likes of Joao Felix and Andrey Santos already added to that attack – but it seems that another player is on the list of potential signings – Thuram

Thuram has just six months remaining on his contract and Gladbach are reportedly looking to cash in while they still can – as talks have stalled in recent weeks and they would rather take something than nothing

And the Blues could land the striker for as little as £9million, according to transfer guru Christian Falk via Caught Offside.

Chelsea are yet to submit an offer for Thuram but Graham Potter could be keen with new loan signing Joao Felix suspended for three games.

Chelsea are buying all these young talents that have done nothing in the game really – and will not do anything for a few seasons – Thuram could be a good option.

He has proven himself in the Bundesliga and is a full French International – so he could be an important member of that Chelsea side.

All the money that Chelsea have – all they have spent over the years – £9 million is not a lot of money, is it?

The only issue is whether or not Thuram has what it takes to compete in the Premier League – if he is good enough for Chelsea – those are the answers that will be running through the club now
