Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think toy guys could have missed today –

Chelsea could finally sign Jonathan David this summer. According to the French newspaper L’Equipe,

The Canadian forward has emerged as a potential transfer target for CHELSEA over the past few months, as the Blues will be desperate to add a new striker to that attack with a few weeks left of the transfer window.

Ivan Toney of Brentford and Victor Osimhen of Napoli are two other players that CHELSEA are interested in – but David would represent a cheaper alternative to the other two as his valuations is only about £50 million.

Now it has been claimed that Chelsea could FINALLY sign the 24-year-old striker has turned down the chance to join Roma, despite still being keen to leave Lille.

David has been heavily linked with an exit from Stade Pierre-Mauroy for a while now following his impressive performances in Ligue 1. Despite catching the eye, the Canadian international has remained at Lille.

The Blues will need to make sure that they sign players that can make an immediate impact – big named players that will send a message to the rest of the Premier League – David is very good.

It will be very interesting to see just who CHELSEA try and sign in the summer – but we do believe that David is not the answer to the clubs problems as he does have the potential to be a great striker.

He has the movement and energy that Enzo Maresca wants in that attack – and for the £50 million – he could be seen as a real transfer bargain.

If Chelsea seriously want to sign Jonathan David – then now is the best time to get a transfer deal done for the player – there may not be another chance for the Blues

BONMATI CHANCE –

Barcelona superstar Aitana Bonmati has put the likes of Chelsea on full alert after admitting that she could leave the Spanish giants.

The 2023 Ballon d’Or winner has been at Barcelona since the age of 14 has since become a vital cog in Barca’s relentless winning machine, and one of the greatest players in the womens game.

Bonmati’s current contract is set to expire next summer and reports in Spain have suggested that the Catalan club is planning to offer the 26-year-old a lucrative offer that would make her the highest-paid player at the club.

However – the superstar has opened up and put chasing clubs on full alert after admitting that she is not shutting the door on a potential move to the WSL – speaking to ESPN while on Spain duty at the Olympics, Bonmati was asked about a potential future move to the Women’s Super League or the NWSL, and she replied: “I can’t tell you what’s going to happen in the next few years.

‘I live in the present. I leave the door open, I’m not someone that says never. I will see how I feel. Never say never.”

Bonmati is one of the best womens players in the game and a star that CHELSEA would love to sign – but even though eh has hinted that a future move could be on the cards – we simply cannot see her leaving Barca.

They will surely offer her the kind of contract that she deserves  – and only a staggering offer will tempt her to test herself in the Premier League – but if CHELSEA were able to get a deal done – she would be a brilliant signing that is for sure.

CHELSEA CLOSING ON ON OSIMHEN?

Miguel Delaney of the Independent says that Chelsea and Napoli are negotiating a wage package and the structure for striker Victor Osimhen.

It is no secret that CHELSEA FC are desperate to add another striker to the attack and it is also no secret that Osimhen is a player that the club have been eyeing up for the last couple of transfer windows.

The Big Nigeria star has already admitted that he is leaving Napoli – the Italians have already confirmed that he will be getting sold in the summer – meaning that the likes of Chelsea will be able to get a deal done if they meet the big mans asking price.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for the player in recent days – and if you believe the words of Delany – Chelsea and Napoli are negotiating a wage package and the structure for striker.

He adds that the nature of the deal could see this run into the final week of the window, but the clubs are said to be close to an agreement though.

Amid all the speculation and rumours – Fabrizio Ravanelli recently admitted he believes Osimhen would be ideal for the Premier League, and could be a great addition to that Chelsea side.

Speaking to Mega Dice, Ravanelli said: “Osimhen is very similar to [Erling] Haaland, although not quite up to his level just yet. But he is a fantastic player – very strong, with quality in the final third of the pitch.

“He scores goals in every way, with his right, his left and with headers. He is a complete striker, for me one of the best in the world.

“Manchester United would be a good club for him, despite them being in a difficult moment. They would be the ideal team for Osimhen – CHELSEA and Arsenal also need a striker like Osimhen.”
