Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news now gossip that we think you guys could have missed today –

Aaron Anselmino will have to travel to the United States to finalise his summer transfer to Chelsea from Boca Juniors

Over the past few weeks – CHELSEA have been doing alot of transfer business and  signing some of the games very best and brightest talents as they seek to take the club into a new era.

Anselmino – who joined Boca’s academy aged 12 – signed a new four-year deal in January. The club are said to be well aware of the interest in their youngster and have consequently placed a £25m release clause in his contract, asking for around £17m should this figure not be met

The centre-back is on the verge of joining the Stamford Bridge club, but he will have to fly to the USA to get the deal over the line, according to Marcos Bonocore, as the Blues are in Atlanta, Georgia to continue their pre-season preparations

And It is claimed that he will be loaned back to Boca Juniors this summer after initially arriving for £17million. He will return to Stamford Bridge in January 2025

Anselmino is a very talented young defender that has the ability to be a very classy defender – but again he is a player that the club do not need to spend so much money on right now and a player that could struggle to make an impact on the side.

The CHELSEA board believe that they are signing players that will take the club forward – but that does not mean that talents have to make the move to Stamford Bridge at this stage of their careers.

Anselmino does not need to make the move to Europe right now and does not need to leave his homeland – but we can see why this would be a dream move for the lad and one that he could not turn down.

JORGENSEN TO SIGN?

Chelsea are reportedly closing in on the signing of Villareal stopper Filip Jorgensen.

CHELSEA made some big signings last summer that they believed would help the club challenge for a Champions League spot and maybe add some silverware to the cabinet.

One arrival that was made was that of Robert Sanchez – who was no longer wanted at Brighton and was quickly signed up by the Blues as they were desperate to add a new stopper to the side.

He has been a massive part of that Chelsea side this season – but he is not seen as a man that is good enough to play for one of the big Premier League clubs and has really struggled to impress.

And that has led to some constant speculation in the media that Enzo Maresca would like a new stopper to make the move to Stamford Bridge – and if you believe the words of Fabrizio Romano – Jorgensen could make the move to London.

Here is the Latest from Sky Sports’ Adrian Kajumba and Zinny Boswell: ‘Chelsea remain in talks with Villarreal over the signing of goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen.

‘He is now the preferred target for a new keeper to compete with Robert Sanchez for the No1 spot, leaving Djordje Petrovic’s future uncertain’

Chelsea have made alot of signings already this summer that will not have impressed Chelsea fans – and although Jorgensen has been decent for Villareal – he is not any better than what the Blues have.

If CHELSEA get the player – he will be welcomed by the fans – but we dont expect the Blues fans to get really excited about his arrival and what he would bring to the side that is for sure.

MAGUIRE STATEMENT MADE –

Chelsea target Harry Maguire says he’s been told he’s part of Manchester United’s future and plans on being at the club this transfer window.

Maguire has endured a mixed spell at Manchester United, making more than 200 appearances for the club but attracting criticism for his defending and losing the captaincy this time last year, which has led to reports he could be leaving

The defender will face increased competition at Old Trafford after Erik ten Hag welcomed teenage centre-back Leny Yoro to the club, while Lisandro Martinez is back fit having missed much of the 2022-23 campaign.

CHELSEA lost Thiago Silva this summer after he decided to leave the club – so they are missing that experienced defender at the back and Dwight Yorke recently opened up and encouraged the Blues to make a move for Harry Maguire.

Maguire has said missing United’s FA Cup win and England’s run to the Euro 2024 final earlier this summer was the ‘toughest moment’ of his career, but the defender is now fit again and is eager help bring more success back to the Red Devils this term.

When asked if he wants to stay at Manchester United, Maguire said: “Unless the club tell me I’m up for sale or I’m not wanted there anymore.

“Everything I’ve heard and the action I’ve been shown from the club, I’m part of the future and it is time to crack on and make this club successful again, challenging for the big trophies.

“That’s what this club demands.”

Here is what Yorke told BoyleSports, who offer the latest Premier League betting:‘Harry Maguire could sit out the last year of his contract and know he’s going to play at some point due to injuries, but United really need to be ruthless and get rid of him,’ Yorke

‘They have Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof and Leny Yoro, but Harry Maguire is in the position that he doesn’t have to go anywhere if he doesn’t want to.

‘The opportunity had passed to get rid of him because he so desperately wanted to be at Euro 2024 and he would have done anything to play. That was the time to move him so he could get regular football.

‘So that opportunity passed and he’s still there. I think we need to freshen things up at United and bring new faces in and take the future of the football club forward rather than backwards.

‘Having said that, Maguire has shown that he is very capable of playing at the highest level still and elite clubs like CHELSEA, who are trying to rebuild, might take a chance on Maguire.’
