Haaland next to Chelsea, German reveals Chelsea is where he wants to be, Mount sends Grealish message and Donnarumma to Chelsea claims emerge
Chelsea interest in Donnarumma, Chelsea to make Haaland move, Rudiger wants to be at Chelsea and Mount makes Grealish claim in Chelsea roundup
Erling Haaland could be the final piece of the puzzle for Frank Lampard at Chelsea.
Haaland became one of the hottest properties in European football at Red Bull Salzburg in the first half of the season, and The 19-year-old hit 28 goals in 22 matches across all competitions for the Austrian outfit.
That earned him a mega money move to Dortmund, where he has scored 16 goals in his first 18 outings for the German side, with his performances or the club firmly establishing him as one of the best in the game right now.
He has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League giants Manchester United, but it seems that Chelsea are ready to flex their financial power at the end of the season and make a move for the striker.
Lampard spent over £230million bolstering his squad during this summer’s transfer window, as He poached Timo Werner from RB Leipzig, Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen and Hakim Ziyech from Ajax.
But there’s one man missing from his dream front line, as reports on BILD have claimed Chelsea want former Manchester United target Haaland to lead the line next season, and they are ready to pay his £63 million release clause.
Look, if the reports are true and Chelsea are lining up a future move for Haaland, it will be one of the smartest decisions that the club could make, he is already one of the very best strikers in the planet.
Antonio Rudiger has admitted he turned down “one or two” moves away from Chelsea this summer.
Rudiger may have been a big part of the squad last season, but Frank Lampard has barely used him this time around and there was big speculation in the media that he was looking for a way out of a move.
Reports emerged suggesting that Tottenham were ready to swoop in and make a move for Rudiger, as Jose Mourinho is keen to add to that back-line and add a bit more quality to his defence, but a move never happened
Even his International boss came out and revealed that Rudiger did everything he could to leave the club in the transfer window, but now the defender has opened up and revealed that he turned down a number of clubs to stay at Chelsea.
He told The Athletic: “The club didn’t tell me that it was absolutely necessary for me to find a new club and that they definitely didn’t have me in their plans for the next few months.
“I also turned down one or two options myself.
“I wasn’t prepared to pack it all in simply because I had been left out a few times.
“I enjoy living in London and like being at Chelsea.”
Chelsea ace Mason Mount reckons he and Jack Grealish have a connection and has admitted that the pair always want to play together.
Grealish was in the headlines alot over the summer transfer window and was heavily linked with moves to the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham, but despite all the rumours that he wanted to stay, he shocked the Premier League by staying and then signing a new contract.
However, that ha snot stopped rumours that a move from Tottenham, United or even Chelsea will be made in the coming transfer windows, especially after the England International started the season in such fine fashion.
Now, Mount, 21, says he loves being around the ‘brilliant’ Aston Villa star and is adamant they can play together, Speaking to Sky Sports Mount said: “I get on very well with Jack. He’s a brilliant player and, yes, we always want to play together.
“It means so much to come away and play with the likes of Jack and the top, top players in the group.
“I love watching him [Grealish] play as well. He’s brilliant to be around. Obviously we all know what he can do, what a brilliant player he is.”
Grealish is developing into a real classy midfielder and it is very easy to see just why all the big clubs are keen on trying to wrap up a deal, but since he likes playing with Mount so much, Maybe Chelsea are now the favourites for a future deal?
Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is the subject of intense interest from Chelsea ahead of the January transfer window.
It was no secret in the media that Frank Lampard was eager to bring in another stopper during the summer transfer window and was heavily linked with a move for the imposing Donnarumma in the transfer window.
However, his massive £60 million asking price meant that a move was never going to happen, and in the end, Lampard opted to make a move for Edouard Mendy after watching the stopper for a number of months before officially making the move.
However, with the club still looking to offload Kepa, there has been some speculation from Italy which have claimed that Chelsea are preparing to reignite their interest in the Italian stopper during the January transfer window.
