Chelsea have agreed a deal in principle with PSV Eindhoven to sign winger Noni Madueke – it has been revealed.

Graham Potter has had some serious injury issues to a number of first-team players already this season and knows that he needs to add more depth in order to get through the next few weeks, and months.

The Blues have been one of the busiest sides this month, having already splashed the cash to sign David Datro Fofana, Andrey Santos, Benoit Badiashile, Joao Felix and Mykhaylo Mudryk as Graham Potter looks to strengthen his squad for the second phase of the season.

That has led to reports that Chelsea have made their moves to try and sign the talented Madueke – who has been impressing over in the Dutch League over the past few seasons.

Now – it has been claimed on the Sky Sports website that a fee agreed is £29m between the two clubs and now Maduake is on his way to England to complete his move to Stamford Bridge

There are still final details to sort out but the player is likely to become a Blues very soon

Sky Sports News’ Kaveh Solhekol on The Transfer Show has claimed that PSV were convinced to sell because of the high offer from Chelsea: “He started his youth career at Crystal Palace, then moved to Tottenham. He left there in 2018 for PSV Eindhoven.

“He played quite a lot for them last season, I think he scored nine times for them. He scored twice this season.

“There was a feeling that PSV Eindhoven may not want to sell him because they already sold Cody Gakpo to Liverpool this window, but I think Chelsea were very insistent.

“And the size of the offer – which in total, we’re being told, could be worth up to £29m, has convinced them that it is the right time to sell him to Chelsea.”
