Chelsea told £60 million will get transfer signing of Brazilian star in January
Chelsea have reportedly been told that a fee of £60 million will potentially get a transfer deal done for Brazilian Murillo.
The Brazilian impressed in his breakthrough campaign at the City Ground and reports have claimed the Blues have held initial contact with Forest. However, the asking price is said to be too high for them.
CHELSEA have been hoping to get that asking price way down over the last few months as they will need to be careful with the funds they spend this January because of those Financial Fair Play Rules that are catching alot of clubs out.
According to the Daily Mail, Forest will drive a hard bargain for one of their prize assets and only a bid in the region of £60 million will bring them to the negotiating table.
Murrillo, meanwhile, recently confirmed he is the subject of ‘interest’ from Chelsea and even suggested he used his move to Forest as a stepping stone.
‘I don’t know if it’s £70m, but I know there was a buzz of interest,’ Murillo said on the Benja Me Mucho podcast. ‘So, I don’t know exactly how much the amount is, but I know there was interest.
‘I had the dream of playing in the Premier League and I had that thought. I thought: “I’ll go to Nottingham Forest, have a good year and then I’ll go to a big club”. I had that in my head.’

Look, Murillo has solid for Forest last season and did put in some decent performances for the club – but many CHELSEA fans will just be hoping that this is a rumour because the Brazilian is not good enough for the club yet.
The Blues have been signing young players lately – but need to get experienced signings that will make an immediate impact and send a real statement of intent – Murillo does not do that.
He be open to a move away from Forest – but the best thing for the man is to stay put as he would really struggle at a massive club like CHELSEA.
