Fans bombard winger as £118 million stars summer destination Chelsea, states German!
German football journalist Kevin Hatchard has told Talksport Jadon Sancho is likely to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, with Chelsea a likely destination.
Sancho, who has 12 goals and 13 assists in just 18 Bundesliga appearances this season, is one of the most in-demand players across Europe and there were many reports in the January window suggesting that Chelsea were keen to make a move to sign the winger then.
However, Dortmund did not want to sell one of their most prized assets and it seemed that Sancho was keen to stay put until at least the summer, meaning that Chelsea went the whole January transfer window without making any meaningful transfer deals.
But with the likes of Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich all credited with interest in the prodigious wide-man, Dortmund could demand in excess of £100million for Sancho in the summer, who became the first teenager ever to score 25 goals in Germany’s top flight recently.
Hatchard hailed the England winger as one of the most exciting players in Europe and believes he would demand a large transfer fee if the German side decide to sell, but Hatchard has also tipped the 19-year-old for a move to his boyhood club.
He said: “The Premier League is a possibility and I think Chelsea would be interested and he’s got a soft spot for them.”
Chelsea fans recently took to Twitter to bombard the England International about making the move to Stamford Bridge: “Chelsea, ASAP,” another wrote.
“TeamCFC,” said one more, while a fourth replied: “TeamChels.”
“If Mike means Chelsea then yes, TeamMike,” posted another.
One slightly confused fan said: “Don’t know what this means but pretty sure it’s something to do with Chelsea.”
“TeamChelsea brother,” a sixth Blues fan wrote.
Another said: “come to Chelsea bro.”
Look, there is a lot of games and a lot of months to go before any transfer business can be done by the Chelsea, and we are very sure that there wil be a lot of transfer talk between now and then about possible new signings, but Chelsea fans would love this young man.
He has the creative flair and goal-scoring ability to make a real impact on the CHELSEA side and if they were able to complete a deal in the summer, he would be a massively brilliant signing for the club.
