Bye Bye Sarri, Sorry Lampard as Chelsea told to sign one of games best to replace Maurizio

Chelsea should look to replace Maurizio Sarri with former Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri, pundit Shaka Hislop claims.

Despite leading Chelsea to two finals and back inside the top four of the Premier League, there has been a lot of talk in the media suggesting that Sarri is heading back to Italy, even after winning the Europa League title.

There have been many reports in the media over the past few months which have suggested that Sarri does not get on with the Chelsea hierarchy, as some of his tactical decisions and playing style have been questioned.

The 60-year-old reportedly met with Blues director Marina Granovskaia on Friday and said he would like to return to Italy, as Juventus have reportedly offered him a move to Seria A, after Allegri departed the club earlier this month.

And that could mean that Chelsea make a move to try and sign Allegri, who is keen on a move to the Premier League and is eager to get back into management.

Now Hislop has urged the Blues to make a move for the Italian boss, who is regarded as one of the finest in the game right now.

“Allegri [would be the best option for Chelsea], I’m going to go Allegri,” he said on the TalkSport website.

“But Frank won’t be happy because we know what he thinks about Italian managers.”

Allegri has led Juventus to four successive league and cup doubles and two Champions League finals during his spell in charge, but reports have claimed that Juventus are eager to get back into the habit of challenging and then winning the Champions League titles.

Teams from England and Spain have been dominating the Champions League title over the past decade, and Juventus have seen their status as one of Europes best become a bit lax over the past few seasons, despite dominance in Seria A.

There has been a lot of speculation on Sarri and it is very unfair, especially as the Italian boss has done a pretty decent job at Stamford Bridge considering the squad he has had to work with.

But if Chelsea are looking for a new manager, then there are not too many better than Allegri, who is regarded as one of the best in the business.

He is up there with the likes of Jurgen Klopp, Mauricio Pochettino and Pep Guardiola and although many fans would love to see legend Frank Lampard head back to the club, Allegri is the man that will bring success to the club.
