Chelsea informed £60M will secure signing of wantaway midfielder keen on Blues move

Sky Germany’s RB Leipzig reporter Philipp Hinze has delivered an update on CHELSEA’s attempts to sign Xavi Simons, as the Blues are looking to complete the signing of te gifted Dutchman from RB Leipzig.

Chelsea have been very active in the transfer window, have added some wonderful players to the squad over the past few months and have got many people believing that they will challenge for that Premier League and Champions League title.

However – the transfer window is not done and the Blues are looking to make a few more signings before the close of the transfer window, with the unhappy Simons a player that the Blues board are very keen on signing.

Simons is no longer keen to stay in the Bundesliga, he wants to make that step up in the game and play for one of the big clubs, with many reports in the media claiming that a move to Chelsea is one that he would like to make.

Now – amid all the speculation and rumours, Sky Germany’s RB Leipzig reporter Philipp Hinze  has come out and revealed that Chelsea will have to pay £60 million in order to complete the signing of Simons – Hinze said: “Chelsea and Leipzig are in direct contact. Talks are ongoing. Negotiations with the player’s side are very constructive.

“However, Leipzig’s demands are clear: they are still asking for a total package of around £60million (€70 million), including add-ons. They do not want to let Xavi go for less. They have a clear stance.
