Chelsea told to sign £48M star – Big star tipped for even bigger move – Blues told to get striker deal done

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed today –

Reporter Iomie Stanley has again opened up and claimed that Chelsea should do everything they possibly can to bring La Liga superstar Nico Williams to the club in the next couple of transfer windows.

Nico Williams is one of the most talked about wingers in the game right now and is a player that have been linked with some of the games biggest clubs because of that £53 million release clause.

CHELSEA have been linked with a move to Williams for the past few months as it has been claimed on numerous occasions that Enzo Mareaca is a massive fan of the Spanish star and is ready to pay big money to get a deal done.

In the end Williams decided to stay at his current club last summer – but now Stanley has encouraged Chelsea to fight hard for the Spain international, who he believes can take them to the next level in the battle for supremacy over Manchester City.

He said : “Chelsea have so much ambition, a young average age and Enzo Maresca has started very well for the club – the future looks bright for Chelsea.

“One player that Chelsea should go all out for is Nico Williams, it would be a dream signing for Enzo Maresca. He is an amazing player and he’ll be wanted by so many clubs, I hope he ends up in the Premier League in the coming seasons.’

Nico Williams is a brilliant attacker that would be a brilliant addition to that Blues side and to be honest – we believe that Chelsea would be getting a game-changing player if they manage to secure a deal for the man.

But we are not surprised at this decision as he wants to stay in La Liga – and he probably wants to wait for that Barcelona move next summer window – so we doubt that CHELSEA will sign the man.

PALMER TIPPED FOR MOVE –

Blues icon William Gallas has opened up and stunningly claimed that Cole Palmer could decide to leave Chelsea at the end of the current season.

The highly talented 22-year-old attacking midfielder, has rapidly made a name for himself at CHELSEA since his move from Manchester City in 2023 and is the man at Stamford Bridge that Enzo Maresca will really rely on over the next 12 months.

He has recently signed a massive new contract at Chelsea – but Whether he actually stays at Chelsea for a decade remains to be seen – but if you believe the words of Gallas, he could leave the club at the end of the season.

Speaking to Prime Casino, Gallas said: “Cole Palmer might want to leave Chelsea in the future if they don’t show they can win trophies, but where would he go? Barcelona would be a great move for him, but they have great young players already like Lamine Yamal and might also be signing Nico Williams.

“Palmer looks like he is going to have a very similar season to last year and even though he is young, it will be tough to see his friends winning trophies if he isn’t at Chelsea despite the way he is playing.

‘I won’t be surprised if he wants to speak to Chelsea in the summer if they again fail to win a trophy. He will want to know clearly what their targets are.”

That massive new contract that Palmer has just signed means that Chelsea do not have to sell the midfielder – and we fully expect him to stay at the Bridge for the next few seasons – but if CHELSEA dont win trophies, then he may push for a move away.

GUIA NEEDS LOAN MOVE –

Marc Guia, a promising young striker at CHELSEA, could greatly benefit from a loan move in the January transfer window, primarily to gain regular first-team football experience, according to reporter Iomie Stanley.

He told icfootballnews: ‘While Guia has shown tremendous potential, Chelsea’s depth in attack makes it difficult for him to break into the starting lineup, especially with the competition from senior players and high-profile signings.

‘The club’s commitment to winning trophies means they often rely on these experienced players, leaving fewer opportunities for young talents like Guia to play consistently. In such an environment, the striker may find himself restricted to sporadic appearances in cup competitions or as a late substitute, which is not ideal for a player at this stage of his development.

‘Regular minutes are crucial for Guia to continue his growth, both tactically and physically. Strikers, particularly young ones, need consistent game time to refine their positional awareness, decision-making, and Finishing – qualities that can only be honed through match experience.

‘A loan move, preferably to another Premier League or top-flight European club, would provide him with this exposure. Playing regularly in competitive fixtures would allow Guia to face high-caliber opposition and develop resilience, confidence, and adaptability—skills essential for succeeding at the top level.

‘Moreover, a loan spell could offer Guia a platform to showcase his abilities and prove that he is ready to compete at CHELSEA in the future. A successful loan spell could position the striker as a long-term solution in attack, potentially saving Chelsea from needing to dip into the transfer market for reinforcements.

‘In summary, a January loan move for Marc Guia would allow him to gain valuable first-team experience, accelerate his development, and return to Chelsea as a more complete and competitive player.

‘Without regular minutes, his growth could stagnate, and a loan provides the perfect opportunity to avoid that scenario.’
