Chelsea told 21-goal Powerhouse hitman will cost £70 Million to sign!

Chelsea have reportedly been told the price that they will need to pay if they want to sign Ivan Toney in the January window.

CHELSEA have really struggled for goals this season and have been eyeing up a number of possible targets – and Toney is a man that the Blues board have looked into signing.

Brentford could ask for £70millon-plus for striker Ivan Toney in the January window amid interest from Chelsea, sources have told Football Insider.

Toney, 27, returns to Brentford training on 17 September after being suspended from all football-related activity back in May, but is widely expected to leave Brighton when the next transfer window opens up.

And amid all that speculation – IcFootballnews reporter Stanley has revealed why he would be a good signing for the club – he said: ‘Firstly, Toney has shown a remarkable goal-scoring ability, both at Peterborough United and Brentford. This demonstrates his clinical finishing and his ability to find the back of the net on a regular basis, which is something that Chelsea have been lacking in recent seasons.

‘Another reason why Toney would be a good signing for Chelsea is his versatility. Toney is capable of playing as a central striker or as a winger, making him a valuable asset for Pochettino’s team.

He can play with his back to goal, hold up the ball and link up with his teammates, but he can also run in behind the defense and finish with precision.

‘This versatility means that Toney can fit into a number of different tactical systems, making him a valuable addition to the Chelsea squad.

‘In addition to his goal-scoring ability and versatility, Toney is also a hardworking and committed player, who gives his all for his team.

He presses the opposition high up the pitch and works tirelessly off the ball, making him a valuable asset in terms of both his offensive and defensive contributions.

‘Toney also possesses excellent aerial ability, which makes him a threat from set-pieces. Chelsea have struggled to score from set-pieces in recent seasons, but Toney’s presence in the box would give them a new dimension and provide them with another way of breaking down opposition defenses.

‘Finally, Toney’s arrival at Chelsea would add depth and competition to the squad, which is crucial in order to achieve success. with Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku and Armando Broja already at the club, the addition of Toney would improve that Chelsea forward line, which would allow them to rotate their options and keep their players fresh throughout the season.

‘Ivan Toney is a player with a proven track record of scoring goals, versatility, work rate, aerial ability, and he would add depth and competition to the Chelsea squad. He would be a valuable addition to the team and would help them to achieve their goals in the coming seasons.’
