Chelsea are ‘now looking’ to complete signing of 12-goal French powerhouse
Sky Sports News chief reporter Kaveh Solhekol has claimed that Chelsea may now look to try and complete the signing of Marcus Thuram from Borussia Monchengladbach
After a solid summer transfer window that saw some quality players make the move to Stamford Bridge – Chelsea are struggling to really get their season going under Graham Potter
The Blues have already made their biggest transfer signing of the window by acquiring the services of Portuguese star Joao Felix for the remainder of the season – although they do have the option of making that switch a permanent one
Now – it seems that they may step up their chase to try and sign Frenchman Thuram – if you believe the words of Solhekol – he told Sky Sports: “Chelsea have already signed three players this month. They spent big money in the summer.
“They’re looking at trying to sign Marcus Thuram from Borussia Monchengladbach. A striker, he was in the France squad for the World Cup and came off the bench in the final.
“He is out of contract in the summer so you may be able to get him out this month but I still think it will cost around £10m.”
The Borussia Monchengladbach striker has scored 12 goals along with 4 assist this season and is being targeted by other European giants.

Thuram is a very gifted young man that has all the potential to be a big star in the game – if he makes the right career choices.
The Premier League would be a massive decision for him to make and we are certain that it is not the right time to come to Chelsea.
The Blues may be one of the biggest clubs in the world – but they way they play football – Thuram would not suit their style of play.
He could be a good squad member – but he wants to play and that could be a real issue on his decision
