Door open for Lampard to seal Chelsea deal for Real Madrid star who has whopping £630 million release clause in deal
Reports have claimed the door has been opened for Chelsea to try and seal a deal for Real Madrid talent Vinicius Junior
We all know that Frank Lampard has already been given the funds to improve this Chelsea attack ahead of the start of the next season next month, and has already brought in Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, with Kai Havertz also expected to arrive.
But it seems that Chelsea are seeking to spend a bit more money to try and improve this attack over the course of the summer, with reports on Spanish website AS claiming that they are interested in a possible move for Junior.
Vinicius first moved to Madrid from Flamengo in 2018 and has a massive £630m release clause in his contract, which still has five years remaining. The Brazilian has produced eight goals in 69 appearances but has struggled to earn a regular spot in Zidane’s side.
Zinedine Zidane rejected the Blues last attempt to sign the 20-year-old back in November, but he has since struggled to earn regular minutes at the Bernabeu, and His frustration at a lack of opportunities has opened the door for Lampard to make a move, the report suggests.
And with reports claiming that Real Madrid are seeking to freshen up the squad this summer, they are willing to sell a number of players over the next few months in order to help raise funds.
However, Junior is seen as the future of Madrid, despite his limited game time, and it would have to take something special for Madrid to let him leave and make the move to Chelsea.
Look, Lampard has already improved his attack for next season and will have a number of options to choose from, but we firmly believe that when Havertz is wrapped up, he should work on that defence and improve that back-line.
