Time to leave? Waddle announces £100 million Rashford ‘would get ahead of Morata’ at Chelsea

Chris Waddle has claimed Manchester United star Marcus Rashford would get ahead of Alvaro Morata here at Chelsea.

The young English striker is a firm fans favourite and one of the only players at Old Trafford that can get the fans on the edge of their seats, But over the last 12 months his development has stalled under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, who has started to use him less and less.

And despite the fact he is a regular for the England National side, he only started two Premier League games for United this season and is becoming even more frustrated at his limited minutes which has let to a lot of speculation that he could join a Premier League rivals, who many teams interested.

And Waddle has claimed that if Che were to leave United, then he would easily get ahead of Morata at Chelsea, with the Spaniard seemingly destined to leave the club at the end of the season.

Waddle told the TalkSport website: “Rashford will have to leave if he doesn’t get regular first team football,” said the former England international. He needs to get games and if he’s not getting games at United then he needs to go elsewhere in order to get it.

“There’ll be a time when he decides to look at other teams where he can play week in week out, he’s never been in that position and he needs that at some point.

“There would be a good chance for him to get in the Chelsea team. He would be up against Giroud, but he offers something very different and would get ahead of Morata. Rashford could play wide left for Tottenham, but he wouldn’t get ahead of Kane, or the front two of Arsenal.

“His agent will only listen to offers from teams that select him as first choice, in the position that he wants to be playing in.”

Could he be a good buy for Chelsea and would he fit in? Here is what we think.

Rashford is a very exciting talent with all the ability to become one of the games very best, but he also works hard for the team and does a shift in defence, so if Chelsea were to make a move and take him to Chelsea the he would be a great buy.

Mourinho needs to be careful with him as right now, Rashford is closer to leaving the club than staying.
