Chelsea did summer deal in hope of signing Liverpool target Suso?
Shock reports have claimed Chelsea are lining up a move for AC Milan star Suso, and will use Tiemoue Bakayoko to get a deal done.
Suso spent three unsuccessful seasons at Anfield from 2015 and only managed 15 first-team appearances, despite being regarded as one of the brightest talents at the club.
He was ultimately sold to Milan, where he has gone on to shine in Seria A, becoming one of the clubs most creative and skilful players.
However, with the Italians facing some financial troubles, Suso has been linked with a move back to Liverpool, as boss Jurgen Klopp was keen on a transfer deal.
But reports also emerged which had claimed the agent of Suso, Alessandro Lucci, has contacted the Blues about a possible deal for Suso, as former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri a reported admirer of the Spanish winger.
Now Calciomercato report that Chelsea are keeping an eye on Suso, with Sarri keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea let Bakayoko join the Serie A side on loan this season to build a relationship between the clubs, and the Blues could use potential as leverage to sign Suso in a part-exchange type deal.
And with the likes of Eden Hazard and Willian linked with moves away from the club, the need to add a creative, goal-scoring winger to the squad will be high up on the Italians shopping list next summer if one of those players leave.
Here is what we think
Suso is a decent player that would love the chance to prove himself back in the Premier league, but he isn’t the replacement for Hazard or even Willian.
Chelsea need to make a move for Isco or Kylian Mbappe, two players that are already superstars in the making.
Suso is not the man to keep Chelsea at the very top of the game.
