Suarez wanted, Pulisic, Kane over Wilson, Arsenal hijack, Dembele-Malcom warning in Chelsea weekly

Here is the latest news, gossip and transfer rumours from the world of Chelsea.

Reports have claimed Chelsea are ready to hijack any possible hope Arsenal have of signing Lille striker Nicolas Pepe in the coming transfer windows.

Despite spending over £70 million in the summer transfer window, Gunners boss Unai Emery still has a lot of work to do if he wants to transform his current Arsenal side into a top four side and is expected to delve into the kitty in the winter window to continue his rebuilding of the side.

And reports on Telefoot have claimed Emery has been alerted to the potential of Pepe after some impressive performances this season and is ready to make a move this January.

Pepe is valued at roughly £30m (A$54m) and is seemingly open to the idea of leaving and signing for a big club, at the end of the season, telling Telefoot: ‘A preference between Dortmund, Bayern or Arsenal? They’re all big clubs, I was not aware of these rumours, although it’s nice,’

‘Leave Lille at the end of the season? We do not even know what I’ll be doing tomorrow!’

However, reports also claim that Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is ready to hijack any potential move for the attacker, as he also looks to bolster his squad in the coming transfer windows.

Despite his recent good form, there is still some doubt about the qualities of Spanish striker Alvaro Morata and his ability to score goals on a regular basis, while partner Olivier Giroud is struggling to even find the net. (Read full article)

There has been some reports which have claimed Chelsea are lining up a move for Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson, but they should really be looking to sign Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

Wilson has been in sensational form this term, scoring seven goals and providing four further assists, having overcome the effects of two serious knee ligament injuries in the last three years.

It is a contrast to the fortunes of Chelsea’s current front-two, who are struggling in front of goal this season. Olivier Giroud has started a number of games for the Blues but has so far failed to score, while Alvaro Morata has only recently started finding the net for Chelsea, netting five-goals in his last six games.

And with Maurizio Sarri looking to mount a serious challenge for the Premier League and Europa League titles this season, the Daily Mirror website have claimed the Italian boss has had scouts watch Wilson on a number of occasions as he ponders a January move.

However, Chelsea have a transfer kitty that can match any side around Europe and they have the ability to splash £200 million on just one player, and then a few more million to improve other key areas of the pitch.

So rather than go for the likes of Wilson, Gonzalo Higuain or even Mauro Icardi, Sarri should try and convince the Blues hierarchy to splash the cash and land Kane from Spurs.

Kane is one of the best strikers on the planet, not just the Premier League and will guarantee Sarri 30-plus goals a season, something the Blues have been missing for a number of years. (Read full article)

ESPN FC pundit and former Major League Soccer star Alejandro Moreno has claimed Chelsea targets Malcom and Ousmane Dembele would be better off if they stayed at Barcelona this January.

With the winter transfer window just over two months away and closing fast, there has been a lot of speculation in the media which have suggested Maurizio Sarri is looking to improve his front-line and defence in a bid to seriously challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title.

Malcom is seemingly surplus-to-requirements at Barcelona this season after failing to make any sort of impact on the side, and recent reports have suggested he could be offered to Chelsea as part of the deal which sees Willian head to La Liga, as the Spaniards are desperate to sign the £70 million rated midfielder.

Dembele on the other-hand has been in decent form this season for Barca and has already netted five times for the Spaniards, but the hierarchy are not convinced that he is the immediate replacement for Lionel Messi and are reportedly looking to offload in the coming windows in a bid to land their transfer targets, who are believed to be Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

But Moreno has claimed that the duo would be best served if they stayed at Chelsea, and rumours linking them with a switch to the Premier League is just wishful thinking, he told the Daily Star website: “I don’t think that either one of them should force a move, nor will force a move.

“They’re fine at Barcelona.” (Click to read more)

Chelsea are lining up a big summer move for Borussia Dortmund star Christian Pulisic, but would he be a worthy replacement for Eden Hazard?

Hazard has been heavily tipped to pack his bags and sign for Real Madrid after the current season finishes, with reports suggesting he wants a fresh challenge and a better chance to win the Champions League and Ballon D’or.

The Belgian has even admitted a move to Madrid ‘interest’s him’ as he waits for an official offer to arrive from Madrid for his services.

And recent reports have claimed the Blues are eying possible replacements for the Belgian, with the likes of Ousmane Dembele, Gareth Bale and Nabil Fekir all linked with a possible move. But there is also reports which have claimed he will look to Dortmund sensation Pulisic, as his immediate replacement, with the 19-year Old American tipped to become a global superstar.

It has been claimed Chelsea will offer cash-plus Alvaro Morata in a bid to land the American if Hazard does in fact leave, as the Spanish striker has not fulfilled the potential many expected despite his recent run of form in the side.

But what will he bring to the Chelsea side?

Pulisic gets into extremely dangerous positions in the box and has a knack for the killer pass, and he is used to playing a high-tempo, fast-paced and attacking football that current Blues boss Maurizio Sarri employs, and which made him an attractive prospect to Roman Abramovic.

But it is not just his creativity, raw pace and drive to take players on that is one of his main featured, as his decision making in the final third and his ability to score goals is also an attractive proposition for Chelsea. (Click to read article)

Reports have claimed Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is hoping to convince Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez to make a move to Stamford Bridge this coming January.

Despite an incredible start to the new Premier League season, in which the Blues have not lost a game. Sarri is still hoping to add a few new players to his squad in the coming transfer windows, as he looks to win back the Premier League and possibly Champions League titles.

And with reports linking Willian with a move to Barcelona in a deal worth around £70 million, Sarri is eyeing up possible replacements for the Brazilian star, with Suarez now on the radar according to Spanish website Marca.

Sarri tried to sign Suarez on two occasions when he was Napoli boss but couldn’t convince the Spaniards to sell, but with a bigger budget at Chelsea and more opportunities to spend big money, Sarri is ready to reignite his interest in Suarez.

However, Barcelona still see the young man as one of the best talents at the club and would prefer the youngster to head out on-loan rather than let him leave the club, and will only sell Suarez if they receive an offer that they simply cannot refuse. (Read full article)

Watford star Roberto Pereyra admits he is thrilled to be linked strongly with signing for Chelsea this coming January transfer window.

Pereyra has caught the attentions of Blues boss Maurizio Sarri this season with a number of fine performances for the Hornets and has already netted five goals in the Premier League.

Sarri knows that admiring glances from Spanish giants Real Madrid for star man Eden Hazard is turning the Belgians head, especially since the £200 million rated winger has ‘dream’s to one day make the move to La Liga and play on a regular basis at the bernabeu.

Pereyra’s time with Juventus, where he helped former club Juventus reach the Champions League final in 2015, is understood to have added to Chelsea’s belief he could thrive at Stamford Bridge and the winger has admitted that he is flattered by the interest of the Blues.

He was quoted on the Sky Sports website: “Now I hope to keep going like I am now, with a club like Chelsea mentioned. It’s nice that you talk about a team that is so fond of me.” (Read full article)
